Job Description
The candidate will build strategic partnerships with CEOs, CFOs, board members and other key decision-makers to be a client facing originator of equity derivative transactions as well as potentially equity linked capital raising transactions. In an equity derivative context, candidate will provide creative, value-added ideas and solutions based on client needs and be responsible for structuring, marketing and executing tailored risk management and financing solutions for corporate and institutional clients on stock positions. In an equity linked capital raising context, candidate will be responsible for originating capital raising and liability management transactions for public companies. Candidate must demonstrate transaction experience, work well in time sensitive situations, collaborate well in a team environment and be a strong communicator. Individuals in this role are typically Managing Directors.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in Investment Banking or Capital Markets at a top-tier firm post graduation from an MBA program, or equivalent degree and or working experience.
In depth experience of delivering investment banking and capital markets products services to clients.
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Strong client relationships, marketing, presentation and sales skills are essential.
Excellent communication skills.
Demonstrable ability to understand financing needs and matching client needs with the most appropriate product / service.
Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence.
Ability to effectively interact with and the ability to work and communicate effectively with the immediate team and clients.
Creativity, problem solving skills, flexibility in approach and the ability to work with members of multiple product groups at the same time.
Ability to analyze complex client financial objectives, accounting or tax issues and alternative solutions or approaches.
Strong team player, willing to learn and assume responsibility and be enthusiastic about becoming a member of a successful and growing team.
The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously & working effectively as an individual & as part of a team.
