Job Description:
This job is responsible for moderately complex transaction and fulfillment processing, including the movement of assets into and out of accounts. Key responsibilities include reconciliation, settlement, and trade and transfer support, and providing quality service and operations support for internal business partners and external clients, in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Job expectations include handling in operational processes which may carry medium to high levels of monetary risk and assisting in training less experienced team members.

Specific Job Description:

Solely responsible for the transfer of a Financial Advisor recruits’ book of business from contra firms to Merrill Lynch. TMT Specialists serve as the onsite support, travelling to all Merrill branch offices where needed. They provide direct assistance to newly recruited Financial Advisors and their Client Associates, ensuring they have the resources and guidance necessary for success. They work closely with the Market level leadership team to assist and support their competitive hires’ onboarding of new Clients. This role interacts with multiple partners across Merrill and home office leadership and requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area, products, policies, and guidelines.


Responsibilities:

  • Up to 90% travel required to Merrill Branch offices and flexible to meet varying hours/days when necessary.
  • Maintain clear line of sight on account opening policy and procedure processes with an in-depth knowledge of general bank policies, programs, and procedures.
  • End-to-end client onboarding and asset transfer process including systems, documentation, follow-up, and follow-through.
  • Create executive level transition tracking progress for each onsite project.
  • Facilitate client meetings with FAs and CAs regarding onboarding and asset transfer questions.
  • Coordinates training new CAs/and or internal Merrill CAs in taking over transition.
  • Assisting Branch personnel in account transfers, Broker Dealer Changes on 529 plans, Life Insurance Policies and LMA processing.
  • Ensure rigorous tracking and inspection routines of all onboarding documents for a consistent and compliant performance execution. (FINRA 2273, REG BI and CRS).
  • Performs moderately complex transaction processing and reconciliation with medium to large monetary impact according to the established written guidelines and procedures
  • Responds to moderately complex client inquiries via numerous channels to support operational efficiency and quality client service
  • Responsible for the analysis and resolution of moderately complex transactions requiring escalations and exceptions
  • Proactively identifies risk and opportunities for process improvements based on an understanding of how the work impacts other operational units

Required Skills:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Financial Services Industry.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external contacts to promote expeditious problem resolution.
  • Works well under pressure and manages confidential matters and sensitive information in a responsible manner
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality results under aggressive deadlines.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and relationship management skills, able to influence with impact across the organization.
  • Champion process knowledge, operational excellence and maintain an elevated level of personal integrity and comply with the enterprise policy and procedures.
