Job Description:
This job is responsible for resolving operational accounting functions and issues in accordance with standard procedures. Key responsibilities include supporting the analyses of issues related to all operational accounting functions, such as general accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Job expectations include performing analytical research and leveraging judgment to make informed decisions using accounting systems and tools, following established processes, and handling exceptions and escalations within the Line of Business.
Line of Business Job Description:
Performs functions in accordance with standard procedures for Foreign Cash Letter Operations which is responsible for processing and perfecting of incoming foreign items/checks deposited by consumers (retail) through financial centers/lockbox locations and cash letters from corporate/commercial (direct send) customers. Receives mail, scans items, keys, and perfects foreign items. Handles exception items related to the process. Works directly with partners domestically and internationally including foreign exchange and Treasury Services partners. Responds to inquiries/research requests daily.

Monday - Friday | 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Responsibilities:
Reconciles bank accounts, posts information and balances general or subsidiary ledgers, processes payments, deposits, and transactions, and compiles segments of monthly closings
Demonstrates an understanding of workflow processes and adheres to Service Level Agreements and federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
Applies advanced analysis and adheres to operational accounting procedures, processes, and techniques to meet the requirements of the position
Supports the execution of the end-to-end workflow process by using various processing/accounting systems and tools
Assists with researching and analyzing procedures, cases, and situations as they arise
Required Qualifications:
1+ Years Accounting / Operations experience
Previous experience with general ledger
Thorough understanding of debits and credits
Ability to multi-task, work as team and independently
Exhibit excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, proficient with numbers and effective organizational skills
Strives to bring new thoughts and ideas to teams in order to drive innovation and unique solutions, be a continuous learner
Excels in working among diverse viewpoints to determine best practice to understand future business needs
The ability to coach and train on all levels and assertive
Strong research, technical, analytical, and decision-making skills
Self-motivated and results oriented
Operational accounting experience along with working knowledge of processes to include applicable policies and regulations
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of Foreign checks and Exchange rates
Experience with: CashManager, FDES, BOSS, Content Navigator, Imageview, OneService and P3/P3D
