Line of Business Job Description:
Through examinations and monitoring, Credit Review provides an independent assessment of the quality of credit decisioning, portfolio management, risk recognition practices and the effectiveness of credit processes across the bank’s credit platform, identifies existing and emerging risks, and reports its findings to various stakeholders, including executive management, the Board of Directors or committee thereof, external auditors and regulatory agencies.
The Portfolio Manager on Credit Review’s Horizontal Commercial Credit coverage team establishes and executes risk-based coverage plans to monitor specific products and risks that span multiple commercial portfolios within Enterprise Credit. Coverage execution consists of both ongoing monitoring and examination activities. The Portfolio Manager will establish working relationships with relevant FLU and Risk partners to facilitate ongoing dialogue of key issues and emerging risks. Additionally, the Portfolio Manager is responsible for maintaining awareness of current economic trends and potential impacts on credit portfolios. The Portfolio Manager plays a key role in examination activities, providing critical subject matter expertise and ensuring accurate and timely execution of testing field work. The Portfolio Manager will also produce quarterly reporting to aggregate Credit Review’s coverage results across all portfolios and identify emerging risks and trends.
