Job Description:
This job is responsible for significant contributions to the development and delivery of the overall marketing strategy for a portfolio of medium to large programs, products, and processes. Key responsibilities include using data to inform marketing program deliverables, interacting actively with multiple business partners to support priorities and project direction and using advanced logic to make complex decisions and judgements with a noticeable impact felt on functional results. Job expectations include identifying risks and opportunities and defining and delivering strategic solutions.

Responsible for managing a group of development or execution planners who design and coordinate all aspects of sales and service or marketing programs. Oversees all programs to provide a consistent high level of quality. Interacts with senior management on the design and execution of programs and ensures adherence to the budget for programs under management.

Bank of America is looking for a Partnership Marketing Manager to help build our brand through activations that span the most iconic Sports leagues, teams, and events in the world. Focus on this role includes acting as a primary subject matter expert on how to drive brand and business goals by creating meaningful and memorable connections to our clients, employees, and communities through Sports. The person to fill this role will have strong experience in two distinct disciplines: Lead Liaison with external partners across all aspects of activation to bring the partnership to life and Campaign Management, including development of marketing strategies and investment plans and oversight of go-to-market plans for complex integrated marketing programs. This role requires leadership and collaboration with a large cross-section of internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment, creation, production, distribution, and measurement of omni channel programs. This role needs a leader who is equally comfortable and committed to being a strategically-minded self-starter and execution-focused driver of work who rolls up your sleeves to enable all facets of execution.  

  • Subject matter expert and lead in extracting value from a Partnership portfolio that spans Sports and Culture aligned to multiline business strategies. 

  • Relationship management of partnerships with a focus on delivery of rights and assets required to bring the partnership to life. 

  • Excellent project management skills needed to ensure executions are on-strategy/on-time/on-budget/adherence to risk appetite. 

  • Support upfront strategic planning, including briefing process that enables approvals to move forward with investment and creative process.   

  • Collaborate and provide influential leadership to internal partners and stakeholders, including intra team channel partners and other bank core disciplines towards detailed design and delivery of a cohesive go-to-market plan.   

  • Lead and manage multiple agency partners in program development, activation planning, channel tactics and KPI measurement definition. 

  • Drive delivery of milestone program recommendations and updates to key stakeholders. 

  • Be an effective consultant within our center of excellence, sharing best practices for Partnership Marketing activation with local market and line of business teammates.

Required Skills:

  • 12 + years of experience in Campaign Management with a focus in Sports Sponsorship Marketing, with brand and/or agency-side experience. 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams comprised of subject matter experts across marketing disciplines who are all contributing to a multi-faced and interdependent work effort.   

  • Strong experience in building activations for a large-scale brand(s), including paid, owned and earned channels.   

  • Highest attention to detail needed to manage every facet of end-to-end marketing program executions.   

  • Thrives in a high pressure, high volume workload, deadline-oriented and ambiguous environment.   

  • Excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills.   

  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization effectively and drive collaboration.   

  • Strong creative sensibility to navigate brand application and provide agencies clear direction.   

  • Effective external lens regarding consumer trends and cultural moments   

  • Intellectually curious and innovative thinker with demonstrated strategic acumen. 

Desired Skills: Bachelor’s or MBA
