Role Description:
The Corporate Banking Financial Institutions team is looking to hire a Director located in London to help further grow our successful UK Financial Institutions business where we are active across all financial institution sectors. The specific open role in the UK is to focus primarily on the insurance sector, plus select other non-bank financial institutions.
The Western European Corporate Banking FIG team is an established team of bankers based in locations in the UK and across several locations in Europe. We are in the process of continuing to expand our European presence and activity, and the London based banker would also operate as a specialist in the insurance sector able to support bankers in other European countries where we have insurance clients.
Our Corporate bankers are experienced in the financial institutions sector and take the lead role in delivering a broad scope of products including financing, capital markets, transaction banking and global markets, all in close co-ordination with Investment Banking and product businesses,
The role will be responsible for developing tactical plans specific to our insurance clients and advising clients on Corporate Banking services and handle all aspects of the client relationship including direction, coordination, and execution of transactions.
Responsibilities:
Be the senior client manager for a portfolio of key UK insurance and NBFI clients, plus supporting the coverage of insurance clients in Europe;
Originate, build and manage senior client relationships on a day-to-day basis and provide a first point of contact;
Manage and develop direct resources and activities across the global franchise to deliver the Bank’s products and services;
Manage multi-product origination efforts within an integrated coverage model ensuring internal partnerships are seamless and efficient;
Drive client planning routines (portfolio reviews and planning, product partner meetings, client team meetings) to increase business growth across the BofA product offering;
Responsible for ensuring the Bank’s activities are conducted in a compliant and risk aware manner.
What we are looking for:
Deep market knowledge of the insurance sector and the Corporate Banking products and services relevant to the sector;
Commercial acumen and ability to originate attractive business;
Outstanding client management, presentation and communication skills;
Ability to generate appropriate ideas for clients, think strategically and anticipate client needs.
Self-motivated, tenacious, and able to work with high degree of independence
Good team player, willing to learn and assume responsibility and be enthusiastic about becoming a member of a successful and growing team
The ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and operate effectively both individually and as part of a high performing team.
