Job Summary:

The Alternative Investment Technical Specialist associate will provide support to Alternative Investment Specialists as well as Financial Advisors on suite of hedge fund products in order to drive utilization of those products. The associate will assist in the coordination of all custom alternative investments proposals, as well as internal collateral, related to hedge fund investing.

  • Responsible for delivering customized, client-approved portfolio analyses in defined timeframe with high degree of detail and specificity. 

  • Maintain and update ongoing pipeline of sales opportunities across strategies, and track sales related to those opportunities.

  • Manage ongoing collateral to report on performance and updates to hedge fund strategies and platform.

  • Partner with AI Technical Specialists on aspects of portfolio construction, manager selection, product design, and fund terms.

  • Participate in meetings with third-party hedge fund management firms to build knowledge base around investment concepts and strategies.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years’ experience in financial services

  • Hold or attain Series 7 and 66 licenses within 120 days of hire

  • Knowledge of alternative investments

  • Understanding of the wealth management industry            

  • Team player with the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.

  • Ability to represent the firm professionally with internal and external contacts

  • The ideal candidate should be highly motivated and organized

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

New York pay range:

$81,000.00 - $111,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
