Role Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven individual to join the Global Markets COO team supporting Global Sustainable Finance Group (“GSFG”) in London. The role will play a critical part in implementing the International GSFG business strategy, optimizing governance frameworks, driving regulatory implementation, and enhancing business performance. The successful candidate will work closely with a senior COO team in the US and various business lines to drive GSFG strategic initiatives that improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Global Markets franchise. You will form part of a well-established and high performing GSFG COO team based in the US. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support senior leadership in executing Global Markets strategic initiatives, launching new products and business expansion strategies, and enhancing controls and governance frameworks for GSFG

  • Represent First Line Unit (FLU) in regional governance routines, internal audits, regulatory reviews, and remediation efforts.

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, collaborate with LOB and Enterprise stakeholders, and manage regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Partner with Global Compliance and Operational Risk (GCOR), Risk, Finance, Business Controls, Technology and Operations to maintain business continuity and meet regulatory expectations.

  • Identify expense optimization opportunities, drive efficiency improvements, and enhance manage reporting frameworks.

  • Manage BAU processes, including risk attestations, Self-Identified Audit Issues (SIAIs), SPIs, access controls, and policy and procedures.

  • Lead multiple high-profile projects with precision, ensuring timely execution and effective communication with stakeholders.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in financial services, with a preference for Global Markets or regulatory risk projects.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for senior leadership.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across business, risk and control functions.

  • Ability to synthesize large volume of data and information, identify trends, develop and execute actionable plans.

  • Experience identifying control gaps and implementing sustainable solutions.

  • Ability to navigate shifting priorities and business needs, manage competing deadlines, and thrive in a high-performance environment.

  • Robust MIS and presentation skills with advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
