Job Description:
The BSM IFAR team works with the broader finance team to support LOB and finance partners through analytics and reporting to communicate the story of Treasury’s financial results to stakeholders. This team is responsible for coordinating, consolidating, analyzing, and reporting baseline and stress test balance sheet forecast results which include average/ending balances, net interest income (NII), treasury non-interest income and yield by line of business, legal entity, and product.
This job is responsible for managing balance sheets, balancing risk and stabilizing returns. Key responsibilities include determining and executing on stakeholder business requirements, leveraging discretionary assets, liabilities, and modern balance sheet instruments. Job expectations include pursuing operational excellence, recommending process improvements, decreasing operational risks, and providing analytics such as, Net Interest Income (NII) and yields.
Managerial Responsibilities:
This position is a individual contributor role but will be accountable for providing oversight and leadership to associates and various responsibilities across the team.
- Balance Sheet, NII and Treasury Non-Interest income results review and challenge
- Coordinating, analyzing and reviewing weekly, monthly and quarter balance sheet, NII and Non-Interest results across the team
- Provide stakeholders insight into consolidated BAC and Treasury’s performance as a line of business including monthly overviews of financials for Treasury Senior Leadership Team (TSLT) and Investor Relations, and quarterly performance summaries in preparation of CFO for earnings release
- Execution and review of Residual Allocations and FDIC Expense forecast and storylines provided to business partners and senior management
- Aggregate and support regulatory requests, internal audit requests and other internal risk and control submissions
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support changes in financial results and drive influence to management decision making
- Helps drive OpEx saves internal to BSM and the team

Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience within a financial institution with experience as a Balance Sheet or Financial Analyst
- Finance / Accounting knowledge – experience in balance sheet management, forecasting, or other Corporate Treasury functions
- Balance Sheet product and Net Interest Income business acumen
- Understanding of financial market dynamics, interest rates, accounting, and financial products
- Proficient in MS Office tools, especially Microsoft Excel (v look ups, pivot tables)
- Inquisitive, willing to challenge the status quo and strive to improve processes
- Ability to meet strict timelines, ability to work with a high level of autonomy and make well-reasoned decisions
- Ability to work across multiple teams in a collaborative environment
- Ability to problem solve, manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and time sensitive environment
- Strong communication/interpersonal skills both written and verbal
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree (quantitative finance, financial analysis, accounting, economics, or business administration preferred)
- Experience in Treasury / Financial institution forecasting
- Experience with SAP / Oracle (general ledger systems)
- Proven leadership experience
- Technical Business Analyst skills (SQL, VBA, Tableau, Alteryx a plus)
