The Team:

The GBGM Finance Change Team is part of the COO & Governance Organisation within Bank of America. This team drives and delivers change within the GBGM Finance organisation via Data, Process, and Technology Strategy and Solutions.

The Senior Business Analyst will play a critical role within the Valuation Control program which is focussed on improving the end-to-end Valuation Control process and controls. The program looks to deliver:

  • Increased efficiencies and reduced operational risk through automation and spreadsheet retirement

  • Reduction of cycle time for end-to-end process

  • Improved time to market and compliance with new and emerging regulatory requirements

The role will have direct exposure to senior management across Finance, Change and Technology teams and requires a blend of strategy, finance, and project management expertise, combined with strong soft skills and a high degree of adaptability.

Responsibilities:

  • Partnership with GVG/BFC teams to define business and emerging regulatory requirements and to translate these into actionable backlog items for our Technology partners

  • Define test criteria and the coordination of user acceptance testing with the BFC teams

  • Perform business analysis across programme

  • Prioritisation of the development backlog

  • Leading tech planning and review meetings

  • Communication of technical enhancements and new product releases, providing training where required

  • Assisting in the streamlining and enhancement of BFC processes

What we are looking for:

  • Practical knowledge of Valuation Control processes, IPV and Brisk reporting

  • Prior experience working on a project is desirable

  • Understands complex products and their valuations

  • A self-starter, that is organised and detail oriented

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Confident business partner with an ability to influence effectively

  • Ability to operate within a global environment working with stakeholders from multiple locations and time zones
