Job Description:


This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and is accountable for feature delivery
  • Applies enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality
  • Ensures solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt
  • Guides the team on work breakdown and execution
  • Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
  • Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
  • Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices
  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
  • Automates manual release activities; Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Job Summary:

The Global Risk Analytics Technology team is looking for a Python Framework Developer – Software Engineer III. As a Developer, you will work closely with business and technology partners to deliver python API which support platform development, management and onboarding of Risk Models on a distributed platform. Candidates must possess advanced problem-solving skills, the willingness to learn and ability to effectively and concisely communicate verbally and in written/presentation format. You must work well in a supportive and transparent team environment, while having the ability to research and resolve issues independently.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8 Years minimum experience in Software Development role.
  • 3 years minimum experience in leading a team working on complex projects.
  • 5 years expertise in functional and object-oriented programming, specifically in Python.
  • 5 years experience in databases (relational/document/etc.) including NoSQL databases.
  • Strong in Algorithms and Data Structures.
  • Experience building distributed and scalable complex services as well as robust micro services.
  • Experience in writing unit tests in pytest or unittest
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation
  • Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem solving

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Math
  • Prior experience in framework development using python or platform development
  • Strong in Object-Oriented principles
  • Exposure to Big-Data technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Spark)
