Job Summary:

Follows established written procedures and guidelines, provides standard reporting and analytical support. Uses established techniques, analyzes and resolves a wide variety of moderately complex operations problems and initiatives including transactions that require special handling and/or exception handling.

The Mortgages Loan Operations supports several Global Markets Mortgages Line of Business including - Securitization Finance, Mortgage Finance, ABS Lending, Real Estate Structured Finance and the Global Markets Trading desk. The desks originate or trade in a variety of products such as syndicated loans, bilateral loans, commercial real estate, Lending backed by Mortgage Collateral, Student Loans, Reverse Mortgages and Residential Mortgage's.   Loan Operations maintains the books and records of the Lending and Agented facilities in the loan system of record.  Functions include payment processing, rate resetting, borrower notices, collateral monitoring, position management, oversight management and reporting. Day-to-day actions are more focused on administering the defined procedures, analysis and report preparation and risk management of processes. Functions could include project and technical enhancements and management of testing.  Scope could include additional systems and processes across the Mortgages Loan Operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Functions include oversight of breaks and reporting
  • Management of escalations, timely responses to senior management, support partners and desk regarding escalations.
  • Involvement in system testing, enhancements and reporting routines to management for updates
  • Participation in audit reviews, coordination with team for audit documentation and adherence to expected timelines
  • Reporting, collection and production of team monthly metrics
  • Communication and escalation of Production systems issues and reporting into EPIC
  • Interpret legal documentation and other materials related to complex loan booking and structuring.
  • Assist the team with performing due diligence required for loan closing and originations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills: Excel (vlookup, Pivot Tables, etc.), Word & PowerPoint.
  • Presentable, confident and client focused. Client facing experience or ability to conduct discussions with Clients in a confident manner.
  • Risk minded - able to identify issues and escalate to management.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a team environment during critical funding periods.
  • Works well in a team environment and maintains focus to achieve the goals of the business.
