Role Description:

The Governance team is responsible for ensuring that Transaction Reporting Operations work in accordance with current regulations and enterprise-wide standards. This is an exciting opportunity to play an integral role across all areas of Governance within the Transaction Reporting Control Group (TRCG). The successful candidate will help shape and embed our core governance structures, oversee breach management, produce function-related management information, ensure TRCG are compliant with enterprise policies (e.g., Enterprise reg Reporting, Vendor Management and Procurement, Records Management) and be part of shaping and delivering the training and communication agendas.

This job is responsible for defining, providing and overseeing analytical processes for highly complex regulatory reporting for one or more operations product teams. Key responsibilities include managing complex projects and workstreams involving systems enhancements, process improvements, products and services. Job expectations include serving  as a subject matter expert to other teammates and handling highly complex issues that require management and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a good understanding of Transaction Reporting BAU health, Remediation and Change Projects and is able to track this at Enterprise, Legal Entity and Jurisdiction level.
  • Summarises the above for senior audiences at an appropriate level of detail and consistency across multiple governance forums globally.
  • Understands the responsibilities of NTCR, Technology, GCOR and Line of Business in delivering transaction reporting excellence for the enterprise
  • Defines and executes control practices, including compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements, including data quality standards
  • Manages and maintains all TRCG related Management Information and supports Process Management requirements.
  • Collaborates with technology teams to maintain and update internal control systems as required, providing business requirements and executing Acceptance testing
  • Ensures that key risks, performance indicators, and desktop procedures are fully documented, in line with enterprise standards, reviewed on a regular basis and challenged and escalated where necessary
  • Responds to inquiries from regulatory agencies and internal control partners (e.g., Audit and Compliance), and provides reporting, as needed
  • Establishes credible, collaborative and influential relationships with key senior stakeholders, including FLU and Front Office partners
  • Identifies and tracks errors, breaches, data issues and control enhancements that impact the respective reports as required
  • Provides independent review of transaction reporting breaches ensuring minimum standards are applied rigorously
  • Coordinates the partnership with upstream report owners and data providers to ensure compliance with Enterprise regulatory Reporting Policy
  • Collaborates with Non-Financial regulatory Reporting and Technology teams to review and maintain data dictionaries for completeness of business requirements

What we are looking for:

  • You will have exposure to the regulatory trade and transaction reporting landscape.
  • You will have experience in managing and communicating with cross-functional senior stakeholders.
  • You will have experience in producing and tracking MI reports.
  • You will have experience in a risk and control environment, ideally within Banking, Middle office, or Operations.

Skills that will help (optional):

  • Being able to balance competing priorities and quickly change direction would be beneficial.
  • Having intellectual curiosity and continually learning would be beneficial.
  • Having the ability to anticipate risks and issues and identifying solutions would be beneficial.
  • Experience of having worked with workflow management tools (e.g. JIRA) would be beneficial.
  • Moderate to advanced skills in desktop products (Excel, Powerpoint etc)
  • Comfortable with data analysis
  • Having an enquiring mindset
