Global Business Services

Global Business Services (GBS) delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.

In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview*

Global Finance was set up in 2007 as a part of the CFO Global Delivery strategy to provide offshore delivery to Line of Business and Enterprise Finance functions. The capabilities hosted include Accounts Payable, General Accounting & Reconciliations, Treasury Management Support on Capital, Liquidity and Balance Sheet Management, Management Reporting & Analysis, Research & Analytics, Financial Transaction Processing, Finance Systems Support & Regulatory reporting. Over the years, the scope of Global Finance has been expanded to include operations for other enterprise control functions like Human Resources and Risk and Compliance.

The Global Regulatory Reporting (GRR) function, a part of the Global Financial Control organization within the CFO Group, is responsible for accurate filing of non-liquidity related financial regulatory reports including call reports, cross-Border BEA and state fillings, FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit & Statistical reporting.

Job Description*

Global Regulatory Reporting (GRR – Europe) has overall responsibility for regulatory reporting for the Europe entities and branches. This includes those in the UK, Ireland and France. The individual will be part of a team responsible for the regulatory reporting activities encompassing but not limited to COREP, FINREP, Anacredit & Statistical Reporting to CBI , PRA and other regulators.

Responsibilities*

  • The individual will need to prepare daily Capital Monitoring reports concentrated on Counterparty Credit Risk & Market Risk, Leverage & Large Exposure                                                                                                          
  • Prepare and/or review COREP templates related to Market Risk, Credit Risk, Leverage & Large Exposure
  • Provide commentary/advise business on the reporting of capital, RWA and related matters.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulatory Requirements under Basel III/CRD IV including reporting of own funds, credit risk, market risk, operational risk, and leverage ratio                                                                                                                                                                                                               
  • Timely response of external & internal queries – Auditors, Regulators, Other stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to Process & Governance routines
  • Support Report owners and Partner with multiple teams (viz data management, change, line of business etc) and stakeholders to drive issue remediation, operational excellence, regulatory and system changes
  • Seamlessly transition work, adopt regulatory & system changes, improve reporting accuracy
  • This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who has demonstrable experience on high risk regulatory reporting (esp. COREP, RWA) coupled with ability to deal with multiple key stakeholders

Requirements*

Education*

Education – Chartered Accountant or post-graduate degree in business

Experience Range*

10+ years of which at least 5 years in COREP/RWA regulatory reporting and rest in relevant roles i.e. SEC reporting, legal entity controller, product controller, risk management, etc.

Foundational skills*

  • Strong background in regulatory reporting for the regulators in the UK and Europe – COREP, RWAs, Capital reporting
  • Previous experience of adopting complex regulatory changes into business as usual (BAU) reporting environments (E.G. FRTB, Basel 3.1, IMM)
  • Deep understanding of prevalent regulatory environment and emerging regulatory expectations
  • Ability to manage senior stakeholder relationships and provide leadership updates
  • Demonstrates a healthy skepticism and ability to partner with multiple stakeholders
  • Prior experience of AXIOM platform
  • Detail-focused, solution oriented and structured approach to defining, executing, and evidencing deliverables.
  • Dynamic, high energy, solid work ethic, willing to take on new initiatives which may initially lack definition.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary as the position requires global correspondence and communication with associates throughout the Bank of America footprint.
  • Remaining positive in the face of challenge, Adaptable, Able to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work in a team, while contributing individually and across other teams
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office
  • Collaborative team player with clear examples of working across teams and positively influencing other areas not under their direct reporting lines
  • Ability to operate within a global environment working with stakeholders from multiple locations and time zones
  • Experience in identifying and managing the risks, issues and dependencies inherent in delivering complex regulatory change
