Location Overview:

Join our bustling Bromley office, situated in one of London’s greenest boroughs. Here you’ll find plentiful and easy commuting routes, with central London just 15 minutes away by train.

Role Description:

In this role you will be part of the Center of Excellence for economic sanctions monitoring and therefore part of Global Payment Operations (GPO). GPO is the central hub for Bank of America in playing a monumental and mission critical role in establishing, servicing, supporting and monitoring two of the most widely used electronic payment processing vehicles – Wire and ACH – in the financial services arena worldwide.  GPO is also accountable for the SSCoE (Sanctions Screening Center of Excellence) that reviews all of Bank of America’s customers and transactions to ensure compliance with Bank of America’s Economic Sanctions Program.

This job is responsible for leading a segment or a small operations unit for a site, region, or product line within the bank's internal operations. Key responsibilities include identifying, analysing, and resolving complex problems, ensuring compliance with policies, and developing and implementing new processes to improve operating efficiency and ensure accuracy of workflow. Job expectations include overseeing day-to-day activities of employees, including executing transactions and managing the budget, expenses, forecasting, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • You will forecast and manage staffing levels and capacities, provides effective coaching, and shares constructive feedback to drive Operational Excellence.
  • You will apply knowledge of the end-to-end processes and ensures adherence to bank and regulatory policy and procedures when making decisions that impact various operations and product lines.
  • You will develop and analyse procedures to enhance unit and/or product-related activities and oversees budget and expense management, reporting, and forecasting for designated areas.
  • You will evaluate efficiencies and identifies areas of improvement and growth to the overall process, identifying data, metrics, and key performance indicators to measure process effectiveness.
  • You will align bank priorities and strategies to employee metrics and goals and strives to recognize, encourage, and improve team performance to support an inclusive work environment.

What we are looking for:

  • You will have previous team management or supervisory experience, ideally in the Operations, Compliance or Sanctions space.
  • You will have thorough operations knowledge of specific products/ services line managed, usually gained through operations experience.
  • You will have experience of forecasting for team capacity, and hiring and onboarding team members.
  • You will have previous experience of 1-2-1’s and performance management.
  • You will have previous experience dealing with senior stakeholders.

Skills that will help (optional):

  • Project management experience (and/or six sigma) will be advantageous.
  • Process Design experience would be advantageous.
