Job Description:
The Market Leader (ML) supports the Market Executive (ME) in growing the market by providing coaching on advisor productivity and sales strategies, client engagement, client team development and pipeline management.

Responsibilities include business onboarding, implementing strategic growth initiatives, managing market risks, client retention, and adherence to administrative metrics and policies. MLs partner closely with the ME and other leaders in the market, to deliver on strategic growth priorities, in addition to supporting the Client Management Process (CMP) to deliver a Branded Client Experience (BCE). The ML is expected to reinforce a culture of responsible growth, proactive risk management and delivering the enterprise through business integration.

The ML reports to the Market Executive, overseeing a team of Private Client Advisors, Private Client Managers and/or other roles as determined by the ME based on the size and needs of the market and growth strategy. Based on the needs in the division, the ML may also support additional markets.

Deliver for Clients:

  • Ensures delivery of the investment and fiduciary platform, credit and banking solutions, and digital capabilities to clients
  • Inspects routines and processes to ensure quality meaningful interactions that improve the overall client experience
  • Analyzes client team performance and key metrics to determine areas of opportunity and follows-up with targeted solutions/coaching
  • Participates in targeted pre-calling planning and joint calling with teams to help close business and identify development needs

Risk Management:

  • Ensures Private Bank/regulatory compliance and risk policies are understood, align with our risk framework and are consistently applied within the market
  • Escalates key risk issues to ensure timely and effective resolution 

Drives Responsible Growth in the Market:

  • Executes against Private Bank strategy and priorities tailored to local market dynamic and competitor footprint
  • Supports market routines, including CMP execution and BCE adoption to deliver the enterprise and drive cross-LOB referrals and business integration targets 
  • Establishes strong relationships with key clients, prospects, COIs and business partners

Talent Management:

  • Recruits, hires, develops and retains talent
  • Participates with leadership team on comp and resource decisioning
  • Collaborates with market leadership and key partners to support employee  development and diversity & inclusion

Job Requirements:

  • Proven market leadership experience in investment management
  • Deep understanding of high net worth clients’ needs and investment solutions
  • Ability to effectively manage risks and ensure adherence to policy
  • Strong business judgment and decision making
  • Ability to attract, select, develop and retain talent
  • Strong knowledge of Private Bank and enterprise capabilities with ability to work collaboratively to make connections, resolve issues & remove obstacles
  • Communicates in a clear and compelling manner with employees, clients, and enterprise partners (executive presence)
  • Strong influencing, listening, probing & relationship management skills

New York pay range:

$205,000.00 - $300,000.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
