Position Description:
This role will primarily drive, and support activities related to the GIS Data Protection Monitoring and Adherence Program (includes end user requirements), monitoring compliance with internal data protection standard requirements. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills, data security and audit background with the ability to independently develop polished, executive-level presentations.
Key Responsibilities:
Compile and Trend the enterprise adherence of the Data Protection Standard requirements
Escalate non-adherence and ensure remediation plans are in place.
Develop playbooks, procedures, guidelines, and end-user documentation related to the Data Protection Standard, driving consistency and understanding across the organization Support the development and continuous improvement of data protection polices, procedure and compliance strategies.
Prepare high-quality presentation materials to effectively communicate key messages to senior stakeholders and management,
Serve as a subject matter expert on data protection standards, assisting key stakeholders with queries and evolving the support model as business needs change.
Collaborate with Process and Control Owners, ensuring the effective implementation and documentation of the Data Protection Standard requirements.
Proactively engage in governance routines, including preparation of meeting materials, documentation of meeting minutes, and follow-up on key actions.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in Information Security, IT, Compliance, or Risk, preferably within a financial institution or highly regulated environment.
Experience working in an auditing or risk management capacity or within a consulting firm is preferred.
Strong ability to independently develop professional written materials (e.g., presentation decks, reports) that effectively communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to convey technical concepts in a clear, business-friendly manner.
Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to lead governance routines, manage stakeholder relationships, and collaborate across large, matrixed organizations.
Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter mentality, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
