Job Description

The GTS Product Management team is currently looking for a Treasury Product Manager in Toronto, who will report to the Head of Canada Product Management.

The Canada Product Management Team is mandated to grow both domestic payments and receipts through the enhancement of our existing offering and the development and launch of new products. Serving both the corporate and commercial lines of business, the team’s responsibilities include end-to-end product and P&L management, new product development and product launches, pricing, training and marketing.

The Treasury Product Manager will be responsible for managing core payment products for Global Corporate and Commercial clients doing business in Canada. In addition, the Treasury Product Manager will be responsible for sourcing new opportunities to grow Canadian cash management business as well as driving funded initiatives. A minimum of 5-7+ years of product management experience and with an excellent understanding of Canadian cash management are required. An in-depth knowledge of Lynx, ACSS and the Payments Canada Modernization program would be a definite asset. The Treasury Product Manager will demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with virtual project members.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a set of product(s) and maintains financial responsibility, including accountability for profit and loss activities such as revenue, profit margins, etc.
  • Interpret policy and standards of a risk management framework, applying them to the products under management
  • Understands product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape to help define and drive product enhancements to existing product sets
  • Drive the completion of funded projects to close existing product gaps
  • Support internal partners in Sales, Implementation and Servicing as a subject matter expert on local Canada products and services
  • Provide ongoing product management, through the use of monthly/quarterly business reviews, with close attention to achievement of revenue targets, cost targets and key performance metrics
  • Support senior leadership in interpretation of analysis relevant in making strategic decisions regarding current and future payments/financial solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience in corporate or commercial banking sector
  • Business background in Payment systems/integration with banking products
  • New product development background
  • Must have strong knowledge of local payments and banking delivery channels
  • Must have experience in treasury services with exposure to US and International treasury management
  • A thorough understanding of Canadian cash management, including the Payments Canada’s roles and responsibilities, as well as current industry initiatives, specifically Payments Canada’s Modernization program
  • Strong ability to present to all levels in the organization including product executives and business partners, demonstrating excellent verbal and clear communication skills
  • Must have ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting associated deadlines
  • Must have experience with data analytics and data visualization tools
  • Proficiency with PC skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
