This job is responsible for managing complex/strategic product(s) and developing strategies across functional groups and/or within a product group. Key responsibilities include managing the full marketing cycle and financial responsibilities for specific product areas and driving innovative idea generation for the products under management. Job expectations may include leading a team to ensure that the product management efforts are integrated with sales, technology, implementation, and servicing.
Responsibilities:
- Buy and sell foreign currency banknotes in accordance with business objectives, client needs and established limits for APAC-based institutional clients.
- Oversee a set of product(s) and maintains financial responsibility, including accountability for profit and loss activities such as revenue, profit margins, etc.
- Identifies and creates plans for product development, supporting the creation of sales training programs, and marketing materials to educate clients and internal teams on product capabilities
- Maintain existing banknote client relationships by quoting and booking Banknote transactions, answering incoming client calls and addressing client inquiries.
- Responsible for a portfolio of clients in the region and must have an end-to-end understanding of each client’s banknote activity.
- Support inventory management activity for the region.
- Work with the Regional Product Head, team-mates and business partners such as Sales, Credit, Compliance and Operations in managing client relationships, business development and process improvements.
- Attend key client meetings and support the Regional Product Head in analyzing client needs, promoting effective banknote solutions, and identifying cross-sell opportunities.
- Utilize technical knowledge to run pricing/cost benefit models and execute on pricing and expense management initiatives.
- Understands product functionality, marketplace trends, and the competitive landscape to provide awareness of trends to sales and marketing teams
- Develops and/or influences product strategy, driving products in cash management to provide comprehensive solutions across the bank
- Understand and apply the bank’s risk framework when dealing with clients.
- Liaise with transportation agents to coordinate shipments to and from clients and partners regionally and globally.
- Partners with internal stakeholders to obtain meaningful insights about markets, clients, and competitors in order to develop products that solve client needs and ensure high adoption rates
- Drives transaction and revenue growth and manages associated financial processes (i.e., forecast, monthly flash reporting, etc.)
- Collaborate with vault and operations personnel to facilitate end-to-end delivery in the most efficient manner.
- Conduct internal and external product presentations, and act as product representative in discussions with stakeholders and clients.
- Collaborates with internal technology subject matter experts and researches product-related trends in order to provide an integrated and automated client experience

Minimum Education Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Finance.
- Minimum 5 years’ working experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Good understanding of the international wholesale banknote and FX markets.
- Willing to cover Australia/New Zealand trading hours if assigned by desk head.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English. Ability to communicate verbally in Cantonese desired.
- Good practical knowledge of Excel and macros. Programming knowledge (Python etc) a plus.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment as a team player or individual contributor.
