The Team:
Here in the Bank of America Paris office, we are seeking talented individuals who want a career in Finance to help grow our business and realise a rewarding long-term career in the Investment Banking industry.
The Country Controller will join the Global Legal Entity Controllers Team at Bank of America. GLEC is part of the Global Financial Control CFO group, providing legal entity controllership, reporting and accounting activities for legal entities, and ensures high quality legal-entity specific relationships with regulators for the CFO Group.
Responsibilities:
Working as part of the BofA Europe Paris finance team, the team is responsible for the finance activities of Paris, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, and Brussels branches
The country controller role will focus on accounting, controlling, statistical and tax reporting requirements of the 4 branches of BofA Europe DAC
The successful candidate will be involved in the production of regulatory returns, while ensuring that the existing key processes and controls used are adhered to and upgraded as appropriate.
The Controller Team operates very much on an integrated basis with the business and a key part of the broader Finance Department
This position provides the right candidate with exposure to all elements of the Bank’s business in terms of its products, risks, and regulations
What we are looking for:
A graduate degree preferably in accounting, finance or business
Some Finance/management accounting or reporting experience gained working within or with a regulated financial services institution, preferably within a global bank or investment bank would be preferred
Qualified accountants will be preferred for this role
Previous experience of working in France/ Belgium/ Netherlands is essential, with exposure to a working with a regulated entity strongly preferred – Note the role is based in Paris
Fluency in English & French is essential
Other languages (Dutch) are advantageous
