Job Description:

This role is an experienced manager, who is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Their primary responsibility is to the people they manage, ensuring they are developing through coaching, mentoring, feedback, and hands-on career development. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy and ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards. This role advocates and advances modern, Agile solution delivery practices and provides great design, engineering and organizational practices.

This position will coordinate and partner with various technology teams both local and global to represent the Brazil needs for financial regulatory reporting (FRR) initiatives and operations also will be responsible for representing the holistic technology relationship for the Brazil FRR.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage relationships with the business and technology leaders, and vendors for technical products;

  • Be accountable for solution delivery management as relevant to their teams (for example, prioritizing tech debt, compliance and security items, and supporting audits);

  • Be accountable to ensure all relevant risk, financial, and compliance polices and standards are met;

  • Be accountable for the application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews);

  • Create the technology strategy for their technical domain;

  • Ensure that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with Product Management, Product Owners, and other stakeholders;

  • Create an inclusive and healthy working environment, and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers;

  • Lead and create followership in Communities of Practice in the organization;

  • Accountable for team/program level resource and financial management; build and maintain teams through talent acquisition;

  • Set maturity objectives and provide individuals/teams with training and resources to achieve them;

  • Set and track quality and performance objectives;

  • Facilitate performance and career development of individuals through performance reviews, coaching, and building individual development plans that are needed to develop competencies and skills;

  • Understand individual and team maturity and performance through team/client feedback.

Skills:

  • Experience and thorough understanding of Software design & testing engineering. DevOps & Release Automation, Application & Data Architecture

  • Experience and thorough understanding of Brazil’s technology landscape & regulatory landscape

  • Knowledge of Brazil financial market, products and associated regulatory regime;

  • Legacy and new technology architecture and operating platforms;

  • Significant ability to manage multiple reporting lines, matrix structures and diverse teams;

  • Ability to build strong relationships based on good listening skills, attention to detail, clear communication, transparency, trusted opinion, portrait political acumen;

  • Strong leadership and team management skills. The new leader needs to very closely manage the group on the ground, to assess the talent bench, manage performance for quality delivery and retain and nurture key resources to be future leaders;

  • Disciplined and hands on leadership skills. Capable of coping with multiple requests, short deadlines, delivering the messages in executive manners timely (Decks/presentations, email channels, all hands, regulatory meetings);

  • Deep understanding of functional and technical architecture, blueprints and able to help create and socialize roadmaps aligned with global strategic directives and local requirements;

  • Fluent in Portuguese, English and preferably Spanish;
