In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.

Process Overview:

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is embedded in our values and guides us how we conduct our business, develop products and services and deliver on our goals and commitments.

The Company has developed CSR Policy encompassing the Company’s philosophy for being a responsible corporate citizen and lays down the principles and mechanisms for undertaking various programs in accordance with Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013. The Policy guides the CSR programs and activities undertaken by the Company. ESG function drives philanthropic efforts of the company in line with the CSR policy and is also responsible for driving employee volunteerism.

Job Description
Your role in the ESG/CSR team will involve strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and program management to drive positive impact. Position reports to SVP & ESG/CSR Head for GBS, India.

Support in development and implementation of GBS Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategy in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
 

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: Develop a comprehensive CSR strategy aligned with the company's mission, values, and objectives, in line with the expectations of the Government of India and Enterprise requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to CSR, identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in our approach to ESG/CSR
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Prior experience of working with CSR Committee/ Board of Directors is highly preferred. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including NGOs, local communities, and industry partners, to collaborate on CSR initiatives and leverage resources for maximum impact.
  • Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of CSR programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare regular reports on CSR activities, impact metrics, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations, providing transparency and accountability to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a culture of social and environmental responsibility among employees through awareness campaigns, volunteer opportunities, and employee-driven initiatives.
  • Influences executives by presenting compelling analyses and recommendations that build the business case for CSR aligning with company values. Present- business cases to EXEC2-level

Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s /Advanced (master’s degree ideal) university degree or demonstrable equivalent, in a relevant field such as business administration, sustainability, social sciences, or related disciplines.

Experience ~10 years’ experience (or more) in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, or related fields, with a track record of developing and implementing impactful CSR initiatives.

Hands-on experience of producing sustainability reports aligned to international reporting frameworks/BRSR, and conducting social or environmental impact assessment would be a clear plus.

Foundational Skills

  • Analytical thinking, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly and independently manage complex project objectives.
  • Strong understanding of CSR frameworks, standards, and regulations, particularly those relevant to India, such as the Companies Act and CSR Rules.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans, prioritize initiatives, and drive results in a dynamic business environment.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting, capable of measuring and evaluating the social and environmental impact of CSR initiatives.
  • Superior project management skills, including time and risk management, and project structuring.

Desired Skills : Advanced relationship management skills, including partnering and consulting.

Work Timings : 11am to 8pm IST
