Job Description

Seeking a highly technical Hadoop professionals with hands-on experience as a Developer using latest Hadoop Technologies.

Qualified candidates must be well-versed in data warehousing and ‘Big Data’ parallel processing technologies as well as the advantages, disadvantages, and trade-offs of various architecture approaches. In addition, the successful candidate should have knowledge and experience with data management techniques such as Master Data Management (MDM), Data Quality (DQ) management, metadata management, text analytics and mining, in-memory processing, data profiling, micro-batch.

Responsibilities:

• Design and help develop Data Pipelines, Database design on Hadoop, and query optimization techniques that support highly-varied (structured, semi-structured, and unstructured) and high-velocity (near real-time)
• Work on Proof-of-Concepts to determine feasibility and functional capabilities of new tools and software
• Ensure the data architecture is optimized for large dataset acquisition, analysis, storage, cleansing, transformation and reclamation.
• Develop standards and methodologies for benchmarking, performance, evaluation, testing, data security and data privacy.
• Recommend and set goals for unified data management practices such as meta-data management, provenance management, governance, stewardship, data quality and lifecycle management
• Perform impact analysis, performance tuning, and capacity planning for the enterprise data warehouse and its infrastructure as source systems are added and new integration business rules and logic are introduced.
• Provide recommendations, technical direction and leadership for Hadoop and NoSQL technologies as part of the overall architecture.
• Participate in regular status meetings to track progress, resolve issues, mitigate risks and escalate concerns in a timely manner

Requirements

Education

B.E. / B. Tech / MCA

Experience Range

8+ years

Foundational Skills:

• Java, Scala, Spark, (pyspark).
• ‘Big Data’ technologies such Hadoop, Hive, Spark, HBase, Sqoop, Impala, Kafka, Flume, Oozie.

Desired skills: Ruby

Work Timings: 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
