This job is responsible for acting as the junior product resource on a client team within the assigned industry or region. Key responsibilities include performing financial and statistical analyses, conducting research, and preparing supporting documentation and client presentation materials. Job expectations include supporting more senior product specialists in the end-to-end execution of product deal origination, capital raising and structuring.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports origination efforts, evaluation of new opportunities, and execution of deals, working on a broad scope of assignments for large-cap corporate clients in a global firm environment

  • Partners with Analysts, Associates and Vice Presidents to build financial models and prepare client presentations and final work products, including due diligence questionnaires, working group lists, and lender presentations

  • Acts as a key execution resource working closely with internal partners to create client deliverables and respond to ad-hoc client requests for maximum impact

  • Prepares recommendations on timing, size, and structure of business transactions and communicates findings to team members

  • Performs industry and company research to support business development and ad-hoc requests

  • Assists in coordinating and executing information in collaboration with industry/product groups

  • Manages several projects at once while working effectively as an individual and as part of a team

Qualifications:

  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Corporate Banking, with dedication to building a career in the investment banking industry

  • MBA degree with outstanding academic qualifications preferred

  • A track record of superior performance in extracurricular and professional activities

  • Strong quantitative/analytical skills, attention to detail and client focus

  • Strategic and creative thinking skills; distinguished written and oral communications skills

  • Demonstrates assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, with the ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities

  • Highly organized and detail oriented – Manage and deliver high quality, error-free work product on multiple workstreams simultaneously

  • Prioritization / Time Management – Must work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Team-oriented and flexible – Develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners

New York pay range:

$175,000 - $175,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
