Job Description:
This job is responsible for performing more complex analysis aimed at improving portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance for consumer products and related divisions, such as credit cards. Key responsibilities include applying knowledge of multiple business and technical-related topics and independently driving strategic improvements, large-scale projects, and initiatives. Job expectations include working with business counterparts within the Line of Business and partner organizations including Risk and Product teams.

Consumer Product Strategic Analyst IV - Change Management 

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.

The Change Management team is part of the Internal Organizational Structure: Workforce Strategy, Forecasting and Performance, Reporting & Diagnostics organization within Client Protection. The primary focus of the team is to drive robust Information Control environment providing greater level of communication, tracking, and governance.  Key priorities for the team are:

• Managing tracking for UCRA, SBO, Project ingestion coordination and impact on function

• Regulatory, Policy, Product Strategy Impact tracking on Financial rates for losses and capacity needs

• SOP library development, maintenance, and functional training 

Generally, the work routine occurs with monthly Capacity reviews.  As part of the responsibilities of the role, the teammate will develop business partner relationships with operations, strategies, finance & HR. Throughout the tenure of the role, the teammate should gain exposure, acumen, and develop or improve skills in Excel and Senior Leaders/Executive Presentations.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex analysis of financial models, market data, financial data, and portfolio trends to understand product performance and improve portfolio risk, profitability, performance forecasting, and operational performance
  • Coaches and mentors peers to improve proficiency in a variety of systems and serves as a subject matter expert on multiple business and technical-related topics
  • Identifies business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicates findings to senior management
  • Supports execution of large scale projects, such as platform conversions or new project integrations by conducting advanced reporting and drawing analytics based insights
  • Initiative sizing and coordination with the Capacity, Workforce, Loss Forecasting and Reporting teams
  • Socializing FTE & Loss impacts with business partners

Required Qualifications:

•  3 or more years experience in a Workforce Management, Support, or Leadership role

•  Intermediate working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word

•  Ability to connect dots and how data/topics relate and interact

•  Intellectual curiosity and strong urge to figure out the “whys” of a problem and come up with solutions

•  Able to interact effectively with all levels of leadership

•  Attention to detail

• Strong organizational skills to ensure team deadlines are met

•  Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and drive vertical/horizontal collaboration

•  Proficiency in Data Mining and Data Analysis concepts

•  Reporting design and execution experience

New York pay and benefits information

New York pay range:

$99,700 - $157,800 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
