Job Description
This job is responsible for leading a team of Treasury Sales Officers (TSOs), Treasury Sales Client Officers, and Treasury Sales Associates and Analysts and lead the growth of the Global Product Solutions business for Global Commercial Banking in Canada. Key responsibilities include coordinating and directing treasury management sales activities to include new treasury management capabilities in the team’s business, expanding existing business relationships, and servicing clients. This role can be filled as either a Director, Treasury Sales Manager or Managing Director, Treasury Sales Executive based on the candidate’s experience.
Responsibilities
Manages the execution of revenue and balance sheet growth, profitability improvement, effective client calling and planning, portfolio development, pricing strategy, proposal responses, and presentations
Consults and strategizes across Sales, Client Services and Fulfillment, Operations, Risk, Legal and Compliance, and Marketing to drive client based solutions and coordination for complex proposals/client presentations with the Treasury Sales Officer
Provides strategic guidance and influence in annual Client Planning by core relationships and top-prospective clients
Maintains good client relationships and identifies business opportunities through effective interaction with internal business partners and effectively cross selling other products/bank's global capabilities
Provides unlimited client interactions and broadens relationships with on-site or virtual meetings, industry conferences, roundtables, and client events
Promotes team leadership through presenting a strategy for the team, coaching, and leading through example, while encouraging teamwork, communication, and collaboration

Required Skills
10-15+ years of experience in corporate or commercial banking sector, preferably in treasury sales with exposure to US and international treasury management
Proven negotiation and active listening skills with strong executive presence
Excellent critical/strategic thinking and problem resolution skills
Demonstrates the ability to foster strong partnerships within the core team and the ability to build sincere rapport with client contacts
Effectively manages risk while balancing the needs of the client, the team, and the bank
Ability to travel approx. 30% of the time
Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
International Cash Management and Trade & Supply Chain Finance experience
Strong understanding of working capital metrics and the cash conversion cycle
Ability to articulate the evolution of cash management and the impact of digital/innovation within the treasury space
Intrinsically motivated to continuously improve processes and/or one’s own education
Exercises the desire to mentor and sponsor other teammates
Certified Treasury Professional certification or equivalent
