Job Description:
This role will lead Agile/JIRA adoption across the organization and establish framework for agile/kanban teams Value Steam. Manage adoption of JIRA & Agile concepts, practices focusing on team effectiveness. This job is responsible for managing dependencies, providing visibility into delivery plans and progress, promoting agile principles and mindset through coaching, and enabling continuous improvement across multiple scrum teams.
This job is responsible for establishing EIT’s Release/Solution Train & optimizing capacity/utilization across the program(s). Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating the Release/Solution Train ceremonies, managing dependencies, providing visibility into the health of epic and feature delivery and the overall program increment, and promoting agile principles and mindsets through coaching. Job expectations include ensuring impediments to epic and feature delivery are resolved quickly to avoid disruptions and participating in budget and resource planning
Team Overview
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) and Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT) are sub-lines of business within Global Risk Management (GRM). Collectively, they are responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA and EIT partner with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities they build address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing their activities, GRA and EIT drive innovation, process improvement and automation.
Role Overview
The Release Train Engineer will lead Agile/JIRA adoption for a portfolio of tests focused on data testing (testing that evaluates enterprise data across the Bank’s data lifecycle, including capture, transport, and use, and provides critical insights into data accuracy, completeness and fitness for purpose, as well as the data health of bank data domains and in-scope processes and controls). The role entails establishing and implementing a framework for the use of Agile/Kanban techniques such as Value Stream. The candidate will utilize JIRA & Agile concepts to drive out timely and efficient execution of testing deliverables. The Release Train Engineer is responsible for establishing testing project plans, identifying and managing dependencies, and providing ongoing visibility into progress against deliverables. The candidate will promote agile principles and mindset through coaching, and enable continuous improvement across multiple scrum teams. The Release Train Engineer is responsible for escalating and resolving impediments to delivery and managing resources and capacity accordingly.
