Job Description:

APAC Network Services “Internal Networks” team is responsible for end-to-end engineering and deployment of network infrastructure services within Bank of America.

The candidate will lead data networks engineering & deployment projects focused on modernizing networks, Line of Business requirements, Sustained Engineering Efforts, Life Cycle Management, and Vulnerability management.

Subject matter expert in Data Networking technologies and provide leadership & strategic/tactical direction related to the successful deployment network projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter experts in Network Services technologies and provide strategic/tactical direction related to the successful deployment network projects.
  • Responsible for hands-on implementation, engineering, and deployment of new services into production.
  • Work with support teams, lines of business and 3rd parties that BofA connect to in order to build end-to-end solutions that balance business, security, availability and resiliency requirements.
  • Eliciting, analyzing, and documenting technical application and service requirements.
  • Maintain designs patterns and provide feedback into architectural standards.
  • Active participation in the change management process.
  • Manage stakeholder requirements across projects and ad-hoc consulting.
  • 3rd level escalation for troubleshooting issues on the production network.
  • Identifying and managing the mitigation of risks within the environment.
  • Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully.
  • Collaborate with global engineering domain leads and operations teams from service design through operations transition process for new services.
  • Support activities related to Audit, Compliance Reviews & Regulatory Exams.
  • Review of all capacity metrics to ensure availability of all services.
  • Facilitate meetings among all stakeholders/ vendors regularly and produce status update reports periodically.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 10+ years with hands-on experience in Data Engineering & Deployment team preferably in the banking and finance industry.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in engineering and deployment of network solutions including Routing and Switching (Cisco/Arista), Wireless (Cisco, Aruba), Micro segmentation (ISE/Clearpass).
  • Strong Knowledge in software defined networks, SD-WAN, SD-Access, Cisco-ACI/Arista VXLAN, CVP, Orchestration and Automation (Ansible, Python, YAML).
  • Strong knowledge of networking communication principles, network standards, and network security practices.
  • Strong Working Knowledge of Market Data delivery networks using both TCP and UDP multicast with an ability to comprehensively troubleshoot through these networks.
  • Experience in network analytics through packet capture (Sniffer) analysis and end system diagnostics (Netscout).
  • Strong knowledge in VPN technologies, Tunneling protocols – SSL/TLS, IPSec, GRE, MACSEC etc.
  • Strong understanding of QoS policies, principles, and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge on common routing protocols and WAN technologies including but not limited to BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS, Multicast, and MPLS/VPLS.
  • Expertise in creating Application and network diagrams including all pertinent flows and decisions.
  • Capability to summarize complex issues into executive summaries.
  • Communicate with business partners at an enterprise level, interfacing with internal business representatives and information security partners.
  • Understanding in Automation (Python, Ansible, YAML, REST API, XML and JSON).
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to identify gaps, challenge others with positive intent, and drive debate towards identification and remediation of underlying risks.
  • ITIL processes knowledge: Change Management, Incident Management, Request Management, and Problem Management

  • Proven leadership experience, ability to motivate and drive execution, with performance driven with the necessary intensity and optimism to succeed and deliver.
  • Possesses strong analytical skills and root cause investigation techniques with a desire to expand horizon to next-gen products, applications, and technology.
  • Familiar with product deployments within a global banking environment.
  • Knowledge of regulatory risk management in Technology and Information Security domains.
  • Willing to work some irregular hours based on the needs of global operating model and the location of clients.
  • At least one professional level certification in Network Security or Networks such as CCIE or CCNP (R&S, DC, and SP), CISSP, Arista ACE etc is desirable.
  • Educated to degree level in IT/Engineering field.
