Job Description:
This role requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play an active role within the Global Banking Technology with main focus area being India payments regulatory ecosystem. This role requires working with the Lines of Business and other Technology teams across Treasury and Trade domains within the bank. As a Technology Delivery Lead, the candidate will get opportunity to drive strategic road maps and manage progress based on consistent Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes leveraging Waterfall and Agile/SAFe methodologies. In addition, he/she will partner with the Line of Business to manage the project financials and help drive the overall portfolio towards the strategic road map.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and fully manage implementation of banking technology solutions, including successful integration of with firm’s systems.
  • Leverage domain and technical expertise to set direction and drive project execution. Proactively identify, escalate, address risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Responsible for end-to-end delivery of complex technology initiatives that under Treasury and Trade primarily involving existing as well as emerging India Regulatory clearing schemes.
  • Work closely with business, operations, internal technology partners, project delivery teams to promote and ensure effective partnership across teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the vendor and internal technology teams.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations with respect to scope, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Actively participate in and drive technical architecture and design.
  • Report on project success criteria results, metrics, test, and deployment management activities.
  • Review and challenge estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
  • Monitor, track, and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies, and critical path deliverables.
  • Deliver appropriate and effective senior stakeholder level communication.
  • Proven success in providing leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Partner with system architects within the organization to understand the broader strategic objectives ensuring that solutions are well aligned while meeting business objectives.
  • Work with business and technology teams to help technology strategies/compliance.

Key Requirements:

  • Experienced and dynamic technology delivery manager with minimum 15 years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience with SDLC methodologies, Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, SAFe. Background in software development would be an added advantage.
  • Fully conversant with India Regulatory clearing ecosystem that includes NECS, NEFT, RTGS, CHI, IMPS, UPI and various other emerging products like eNACH, BBPS etc. Hands-on with SFMS and other payment last mile clearing gateways would be preferred.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage delivery of complex, integration projects in a matrix organization.
  • Strong technology delivery capability from strategy alignment, solution design, E2E program/project delivery to problem solving.
  • Experience in managing projects financials.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging senior stakeholders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus, and achieve objectives.
  • Sound knowledge of the Wholesale Banking domain: Treasury & Trade especially around payments, liquidity & allied products, trade finance etc.
  • Experience working with product and service vendors, and with the onshore-offshore delivery model.

Communication Skills:

  • Ability to influence & work with regional and global partners/stakeholders to drive projects to completion.
  • Execution and result oriented. Aptitude for critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making.
  • Stay abreast of latest technology and industry trends.
  • Be the change agent to influence and drive transformation: e.g., DevOps, Agile development.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or other relevant Engineering/Graduate streams.
