The Global Sustainable Finance Group (GSFG) implements the strategy set by the Sustainable Markets Committee and works alongside BofA’s eight lines of business to mobilize and scale capital deployment that is aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The two main pillars of our business focus are as follows:

  • Environmental Transition: Address climate change and promote the circular economy including solutions for renewable energy, energy efficiency, clean transportation, water & sanitation, sustainable agriculture, and carbon capture & sequestration
  • Inclusive Development: Advance community development, affordable housing, healthcare, education, financial and digital inclusion, access to basic services, racial and gender equality, and promote environmental justice

To drive the effective implementation of our firm-wide sustainable finance strategy and accomplish our capital deployment target of $1.5T by 2030, our Sustainable Finance team operates across the following 4 focus areas:

  • Asset Finance: Drive global asset financing, tax equity investments, and distribution solutions within Sustainable Finance
  • Innovative Structuring: Develop innovative financing solutions within new sustainable asset classes and emerging technologies
  • Advisory: Advise clients on strategies to successfully meet their sustainability goals including Net Zero and Carbon Neutrality, and Social & Inclusive Development
  • Data, Strategy, & Governance: Develop and implement firm-wide sustainable finance strategy and track real time progress with clients in financing, investment, advisory, and distribution activities

The team is seeking to hire a VP in the GSFG: Innovative Structuring team who will be in charge of leading deal structuring across multiple transactions and maintaining day-to-day dialogue with BofA clients

Job Description:
Acts as product representative on a client team. Analyzes clients' financing needs and structures the financing package. Prepares proposals and makes presentations to clients on appropriate financing structure. Works independently with limited direction and is evaluated through final results.

  • At least 7 years prior experience in structured finance, capital raising or investment banking is preferred
  • Extensive experience in financial modeling across the capital structure

  • Experience looking at project finance
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong credit analysis and assessment capabilities

Role:

  • Support day-to-day dialogue with clients and support the development of new client relationships to establish new business opportunities
  • Liaise with senior team members regarding team tactics and strategic focus – including, client, product and sector expansion ideas
  • Lead the development of key materials for senior management discussions
  • Lead deal structuring across multiple work streams to ensure seamless client experience
  • Manage and develop junior resources in model preparation, financial analysis, client pitch book preparation, and credit / risk analysis
  • Key skills include: transaction structuring / closing experience, attention to detail, ability to effectively communicate with external clients and internal partners, and ability to articulate independent risk views

    New York pay range:

    $135,000 - $225,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

    Discretionary incentive eligible
