Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

  • Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

  • Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained

  • Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack

  • Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle

  • Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

  • Automates manual release activities

Position Summary:

Proficiency/Hands on expertise in Java, J2EE, Spring framework.

Proficiency/Hands on expertise in Spring boot-based REST and SOAP services.

Proficiency/Hands on expertise in asynchronous processing using messaging (IBM MQ, Kafka) and Spring Async Services.

Experience in leading smaller, geographically distributed scrum teams Ability to write complex queries – Oracle, SQL

Understanding of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Marklogic).

Excellent understanding of Safe Agile practices.

Good knowledge of requirement and work management tools – JIRA.

Awareness of Enterprise practices for Audit and regulations.

Good understanding of Banking Domain, Treasury, Cash Management, Payments

Excellent understanding of Data Integration models.

Good understanding of Portal Architecture.

Good understanding of Customer administration solutions and back-office maintenance.

Working in a distributed team – Onshore / offshore model.

Around 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

  • This is a senior developer role, expected to lead and mentor a team of junior to mid-level developers on a agile scrum team.

  • Serve as a SME on software design and development, with emphasis on Java and spring framework technologies.

  • Serve as a single point of contact for release planning and orchestration.

  • Serve as a SME on entitlement management and provisioning and enforcement.

  • Will be expected to learn new technologies on the job, including OpenShift and NO SQL technologies like MongoDB.

  • Work with other leads across teams to coordinate delivery.

  • Serve as a SME on agile delivery process.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

  • 10+ years of development experience in Java/J2EE.

  • Expert level knowledge in building Restful services using spring framework.

  • Domain knowledge and experience working in financial industry, specifically on entitlements administration and enforcement.

  • 5+ years of work experience in an Agile environment. Work history of participating in daily agile routines and estimation of stories with minimal direction.

  • Expertise in complex SQL and query plans.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with enterprise Dev/Ops and monitoring tools.
