Job Description:  
The Global Markets Risk (GMR) COO team is responsible for ensuring “best-in-class” and consistent risk governance processes across GMR. The team supports a number of Governance/Management Risk Committee deliverables for GMR (including reviewing and organizing submission materials), manages detailed policy processes, and has numerous risk and controls responsibilities. GMR COO is seeking a highly motivated individual to support key risk governance deliverables. Given the team’s consolidated view of the GMR organization, the GMR COO team supports key deliverables for the Global Markets Chief Risk Officer, including internal and external presentation materials and consolidated risk reporting and analyses. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Managing governance activities for GMR including setting agendas with co-chairs, collecting materials, and facilitating meetings of committees, councils, and forums 
• Distributing materials to committee members; drafting speaker notes and taking meeting minutes; documenting and archiving meetings in accordance with enterprise policy 
• Managing governance processes from beginning-to-end and ensuring sound communication among all stakeholders 
• Developing and coordinating timelines for deliverables across numerous priorities, and working to ensure that deadlines are met on-time 
• Supporting the GMR policy and procedures process, including drafting, socializing, and implementing key policies and procedures within GMR and ensuring adherence to enterprise policy 
• Supporting key deliverables for the GM Chief Risk Officer, including internal and external presentations and briefings, executive communications, and ad-hoc analyses 
• Responding to inquiries related to GMR governance from various partners, including legal, audit, and regulatory relations 
• Supporting the GMR COO team broadly on various activities including operational excellence and implementation of strategic priorities

Required Qualifications: 
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; focus on attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables in a dynamic environment 
• Excellent written / verbal communication skills and executive presence 
• Proven governance experience and working knowledge of market risk management practices and regulatory interactions; familiarity with redactions for the SEC 
• Ability to develop comprehensive plans around key priorities and ensure all accountable parties understand respective roles/responsibilities 
• Strong partnership and relationship building skills with the ability to influence 
• Ability to think strategically across GMR to identify opportunities to improve overall performance efficiency 
• Ability to challenge the status quo, produce appropriate changes and implement goals 
• Effectively and efficiently coordinate and drive execution of key control priorities across the broader GMR organization 
• Act as trusted governance advisor across GMR and with key stakeholders across the broader organization 
• 5+ years of experience in financial services industry or experience in a related field 
• Ability to develop executive ready communications and presentations 
• Expertise in use of applications in Adobe and Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Jersey City pay and benefits information

Jersey City pay range:

$130,000 - $187,100 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
