The Team:

The Global Trade & Supply Chain Finance (GT&SCF) business at Bank of America provides our Corporate and Financial Institution clients with a range of financing and risk mitigation solutions that support domestic and cross-border trade. GT&SCF is part of the wider Global Payments Solutions (GPS) business, which is a leading provider for treasury and cash management solutions, with 100,000 +clients globally, spanning across all segments and industries, from middle-market businesses to the world’s largest corporate and financial institutions. In addition to Trade and Supply Chain Finance, The GPS product suite includes:

  • Liquidity Management

  • Payment and Receipts

  • Transactional Foreign Exchange

  • Commercial Card

  • Platform and Channels (Online portal, Mobile app, Machine-to-machine Connectivity)

Trade and Supply Chain Finance has three main solution sets: Supply Chain Finance (including Receivables Finance), Core Trade (including Guarantees, LCs, Trade Loans), and Export Agency Finance (Export Credit Agency-backed financing solutions), and has been identified as a strategic growth opportunity for the GPS business and wider BofA franchise. It is in the process of a multi-year digital transformation, which will see it deploy best-in-class technologies to create 100% digital client journeys.

Role Description:

Bank of America is seeking a senior Trade Leader to run GT&SCF Product Management for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region (EMEA). In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Global Trade & Supply Chain Finance products in EMEA, working to ensure that we continue to develop and structure market-leading solutions and propositions for clients, whilst maintaining a strong and disciplined control environment. Very deep knowledge and experience of Supply Chain Finance and Core Trade (in particular Trade Loans, Letters of Credit and Guarantees/Standby Letters of Credit), and good knowledge and understanding of Export Agency Finance will be key, as will exceptional product management, product delivery/development and leadership skills.


Main Responsibilities:

  • EMEA Product development and commercialization- support GT&SCF’s significant innovation agenda, driving regional product strategy, engaging clients to understand market dynamics and requirements, and driving commercialization of new capabilities in partnership with BofA’s Banking, Treasury Sales, and Trade Product Specialist Sales teams. The candidate will also have the opportunity to work on global initiatives with the Global Product Management teams

  • Business strategy- define regional GT&SCF Product strategy, in conjunction with the EMEA Head of Trade.

  • Engage with industry bodies on regulatory and market change

  • P&L management- drive pricing strategy, forecasting, revenue optimization, capital optimization

  • Optimization of business and operational processes – identify opportunities to streamline and simplify business and operational processes, including via digitalization, to drive enhanced client experience and reduce costs

  • Risk management- proactively identify and escalate current and horizon risks, manage audits and regulatory engagement

  • Developing the EMEA Trade Product Management team skillset and knowledge

  • Ensuring synergy with other GTS products by sharing knowledge and best practice

  • Representing BofA at various regional industry forums

What we are looking for:

  • Product Management experience in GT&SCF products, including structuring and execution

  • Innovation – tangible experience of identifying and executing on strategic opportunities

  • Stakeholder management

  • Manage products end to end, while adapting team structures and hiring and developing talent as the business grows.

  • Communication and client facing skills

  • Data analysis and presentation
