Job Description

The Equity Derivatives team is looking to hire a junior trader for corporate trading and quantitative investment strategies in Hong Kong. The role is open to analysts and associates. Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a trading desk and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of QIS.

Responsibilities

  • The junior trader will support risk management and market-making for corporate trading and quantitative investment strategies
  • Generate trade ideas and help produce desk metrics for senior management
  • Pricing, executing and hedging activities
  • Work with the team to design reconciliation tool and also projects to automate workflows
  • Growing the existing platform of relationships and identifying new client onboarding or extension opportunities
  • Liaise with operations and IT team on the testing of new systems, new products and design new workflows, etc.
  • Working as part of the global distribution effort partnering with sales partners out of region

Requirements

  • Graduate from a top Tier University with Mathematics or Finance related major degree
  • Minimum 1-3 years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of quantitative investment strategies
  • Work well under a fast paced and high pressured environment
  • Strong with numbers, proactive with a strong ability to manage time effectively
  • Possess the ability to manage and build internal relationships and nurture the development of network sales models working with cross discipline coverage and sales teams across APAC
