Role Description

This position sits within the UK Investment Banking and Corporate Broking team and is based in London. As an Associate in the UK team, you will participate in the full cycle of transaction execution including idea generation, preparation of client materials, reviewing and creating financial analysis as well as preparing and presenting to clients and to internal committees. You will gain significant exposure to clients, senior bankers, peers and expand your analytical and communications capabilities. The UK team is responsible for providing M&A and Corporate Broking advice, including on equity capital raising, for our 55 Corporate Broking clients, 28 of whom are in the FTSE 100. The team also looks after many of our potential IPO candidates and many of our financial sponsor relationships, alongside the Fin Sponsors coverage team.

Responsibilities

  • Project management in live M&A and capital markets transactions 

  • Financial analysis including valuation, benchmarking and merger modelling.

  • Preparation of management and board materials, information memos and other transaction documents 

  • Building relationships with colleagues across product, sector, and regional teams

  • Supporting due diligence and deal documentation  

  • Research on industries and companies as well as supporting idea generation.
