Job Description

Candidate will be part of the APAC FICC Sales COO team and support the day-to-day administrative and operational function for APAC FICC Sales businesses. Key initiatives including business coverage strategies, client life-cycle workflow, regulatory implementation, sales revenue reporting and technology related improvements. The role will focus on driving a collaborative culture in pursuit of improving strategic initiatives in support of the client franchise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage new client selection forums and manage overall KYC periodic refresh population and their business impact to APAC FICC Sales. Liaise with front office sales and Client Onboarding and/or Refresh stakeholders.
  • Supports the planning and execution of the Sales and COO strategy by providing data-driven analytics and insights
  • Work closely with APAC FICC Sales and various stakeholders in supporting the design and implementation on strategy, ensuring adherence to regulatory, bank policy and control requirements.
  • Prepare presentations and in-depth analysis for management meetings
  • Handle issues from pre-trade or post-trade escalations and continuously identify root cause and propose improvements to existing workflow.
  • Assist in identifying client opportunities, tracking and analyze performance, driving product / platform enhancement in partnership with various stakeholders
  • Represent as delegate for the sales desk for management routines, targeted risk assessments, internal audits, regulatory inspections and remediation activities.
  • Coordinate with enterprise control functions (GTO, CFO, Compliance, Risk) to help ensure the businesses in the region run effectively and within the requirements of the regional control policies, regulatory requirements and the risk framework.
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects related to APAC and Global FICC COO teams. 

Qualifications/ Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial service in analytics, process automation, controls function or related functions
  • Experience with automation and data visualization tools (Tableau, Python/R etc)
  • Experience with data management, including the ability to manage large/complex data sets
  • Ability to design, create and evaluate the operational risk and control environment in conjunction with business partners
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Communication/ interpersonal – excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to influence business leaders, strong ability to build and maintain relationships across organization
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills – ability to absorb and present complex ideas quickly and accurately
  • Independent drive – flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Process analysis / design acumen – ability to understand a process and associated risks to inform control design
  • Problem solving / analytical skills – solid critical thinking and attention to details; able to synthesize large amount of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
  • Understanding root cause / identifying control deficiencies
  • Develop timely and sustainable solutions
