Role Description:

This position sits within Bank of America’s Global Investment Banking team, based in Amsterdam. The team consists of 13 Investment Bankers who are focused on the Benelux region and operate a sector and product agnostic regional coverage role. The office has a longstanding track-record of successfully executed transactions both for publicly listed and privately held clients. As an Associate in the team, you will get a lot of deal exposure and will participate in the full cycle of transaction execution including idea generation across sectors and covering all traditional Investment Banking products (M&A, ECM, DCM). On the job, you will gain significant exposure to clients, senior bankers and peers across sectors and geographies and you will expand your analytical and communications capabilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Project execution on live (cross-border) M&A and capital markets transactions

  • Financial analysis including valuation, benchmarking and merger modelling

  • Supporting due diligence and deal documentation  

  • Preparation of management and board materials, information memos and other transaction documents 

  • Research on industries and companies as well as supporting idea generation

  • Building relationships with colleagues across product, sector and regional teams

What we are looking for:

  • Proven financial analysis and modelling skills

  • High attention to detail, diligence and conscientiousness

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Capable of working effectively both independently and with multiple teams and individuals

  • Fluency in English and Dutch
