Job Description:
This job is responsible for providing analysis for one or more operations product areas in the delivery of moderately complex regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities include analyzing and resolving highly complex operations problems, projects and initiatives, and contributing to the resolution of highly complex problems. Job expectations include coordinating across multiple operations functions and products with the introduction of new initiatives, systems, products, services, and processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Delivers moderately complex regulatory reports to regulatory agencies in line with expectations on completeness, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Executes control practices, including compliance with all regulatory and policy requirements, including data quality standards
  • Documents key risks, performance indicators, desktop procedures, controls and metrics related to reporting, and executes quality assurance, quality control, and report production tasks for regulatory reports
  • Supports the response to regulatory agencies and internal control partners on inquiries and reporting breaches
  • Participates in the representation of the reporting function to control partners (e.g., Audit and Compliance)
  • Identifies, tracks, and remediates errors, breaches, data issues, and control enhancements that impact reports
  • Contributes to the partnerships with key stakeholders, including upstream process owners, data providers, and Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting
  • Help deliver a comprehensive product strategy for large shareholder, takeover and short position regulatory reports (also known as Position Reporting, Shareholding Disclosures, Disclosure of Interest).
  • Establish a robust prioritization model for report automation, product enhancement and data quality improvements.
  • Implement effective routines to ensure business requirements are understood, tracked and documented, whilst holding key business and technology partners accountable
  • Establish comprehensive, data-informed, and long-term strategy for enhancing reporting platforms and report automation in the portfolio with fully developed tools for maintaining or altering the strategy
  • Drive horizontal thinking on product strategy, technology requirements and solutions. Drive execution improvements in the Agile space to ensure consistent product management practices are in place and adhered to including high quality deliverables and role clarity with partners
  • Collaborate with a variety of partners in multiple formats throughout the Agile process to deliver product change on time and on budget
  • Communicate with a broad audience of business and technology partners in a variety of formats and in a way that ensures all audience members understand and can adhere to the strategy
  • You will navigate across various Lines of Business and partner organizations, including Technology and Risk, leading them to negotiate decision making for efficient and effective resolution.
  • You will develop, maintain, and report on an overall integrated delivery plan, raising any risks, developing a mitigation plan, and escalating issues appropriately to respective stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • Global Markets Technology/Operations Project Management experience
  • Experience in a global markets regulatory environment or exposure to position/transaction processes/life cycle
  • Ability to provide clear oral and written communication to a variety of business and technical audiences.
  • Ability to communicate the business value, program vision and roadmap to stakeholders, Product Owners and others so they understand and adhere to the product strategy
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and prioritization efforts
  • Ability to identify changes that have an impact across multiple process and stakeholders
  • Identify efficiency gains in regulatory reporting processing
  • Hands on approach and process excellence mind set

  • Experience in technology implementation projects including involvement in building new or enhancing existing systems to meet complex reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of financial markets, banking industry, equities and derivative products.
  • Experience with regulatory programs – understanding requirements through to implementation
  • • Experience with regulatory project delivery and interaction via exams, periodic routines etc.
  • • Knowledge of Operations processing & regulatory requirements.
  • • Proficient with MS products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.

Desired Skills:

• Proficiency in process design / mapping would be advantageous.
• Working knowledge of Agile methods and tools would be advantageous.
• Audit/GIS experience
