Your background

  • You should have experience in leading a technology team with extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle and methodologies, good understanding of the operational aspects of managing a software stack.

  • You should have experience in defining strategic IT solutions to meet the business vision and target operating model.

  • You should have strong business-centric mindset, with ability to utilize sound business judgment and tailor approach to drive optimal business outcomes.

  • You should have extensive knowledge on Global Market products, India Global Market Business, and front to back platform capabilities.

  • You should have hands-on experience in managing technology risk, handling IT audits and Regulatory engagements.

  • You should have experience with enterprise-wide planning, communication, and implementation with track record of on time delivery of complex and strategic solutions with quality.

  • You should have solid stakeholder management skills, which includes facing off to the trading desks and business product partners.

  • You should have proven ability to influence and collaborate with global technology teams and various control partners.

  • You should have proven ability to decompose complex issues and drive timely decisions, knowing when to engage others for additional input, and when to act independently.

What you can expect

As a Senior Technology Manager within the Global Markets Technology, you would lead the India group. The Global Markets Technology group is responsible for delivery of a wide range of technology solutions which support Trading, Risk, Middle, Back Office and Reference data functions for the firm, across securities, derivatives, foreign exchange, futures, options, and commodities products. You will drive delivery of front-to-back Global Markets platforms for the Bank’s India entity in alignment with overall Global Technology strategic roadmap.

The successful candidate would be an individual who is driven by passion for technology and wants to build enterprise applications which solve complex problems.

What you will do

  • Responsible for leading the Global Markets Technology team in India to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices.

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across Equities & FICC Business, Operations, Treasury, Risk and Finance to understand the core needs and asks from each team.

  • Provide technical leadership and direction to Global Markets Technology team and partner other Global Technology teams in defining and executing the team’s strategy and target operating model.

  • Coach, mentor, provide feedback and hands-on career development of team members; identify emerging talent & fostering leadership skills of team members.

  • Work with Compliance and Risk partners to maintain strong focus on Regulatory & Compliance matters pertaining to India market.

  • Accountable for Risk and Control related deliverables and manage IT audits and regulatory exams.

  • Manages Third Party Engagements and External Vendors who are responsible for delivery of core trading and back-office platforms.

  • Prioritize work from multiple stakeholders in the region and deliver this in close collaboration with the global teams.
