Role Description:

This is a very involved and exciting role, to be involved with this team is an amazing opportunity for any Senior Engineer.

As a Senior Engineer you’ll be responsible for building and supporting a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, advocating, and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and support in their career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering skills, and guiding stakeholders.

You will play a key part of this team being involved with the build out of our comprehensive system of origination for Structured Products Platform, from a technical perspective, the successful person will be comfortable driving design and architecture and mentoring less experienced developers whilst being a lead contributor. The successful candidate will be able to interact with senior business stakeholders and partnering effectively with other workstream tech leads globally to deliver a front to back platform.

Responsibilities:

•           Develop a thorough understanding of Bank of Americas equity derivatives technology landscape in particular the structured product stack.

•           Design and introduces the development of new solutions to expand the automation scope and reach of the Structured Products system.

•           Help drive the growth of the business by becoming an SME in the structured notes platform market structure and recent industry developments.

•           Contribute to platform design and architecture.

•           Communicate with senior business and platform partners.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for a senior technical leader who has experience working on Structured Notes platform.   The ideal candidates both has extensive knowledge of the Structured Notes business as well as has experience working on platforms to enable this business to scale globally and support business growth in terms of trade count and issuance. 

Can you build and coach teams by performing financial activities to inform the teams strategy, hiring practices, setting, and tracking maturity and quality goals, train employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance levels.

•           Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills.

•           Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met.

•           Manages relationships with business and technology partners and aspirer to create followership in communities of Practice in the organization.

•           Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain.

•           Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers.

•           Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product managers and other stakeholders.

Skills that will help:

•           Someone who has great interaction with Front office trading, structuring and sales, QSG and other tech teams?

•           Experienced with Java / Python
