Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Vice President or Director to join our industry-leading Global Healthcare Investment Banking team.

As a Vice President/Director in Investment Banking, you’ll have experience developing strong relationships with corporate clients and working across different products across regions and geographies.  You’ll work on deals and transactions across the spectrum of our banking products, including mergers & acquisitions, sell-sides, divestitures, restructurings, loans, and equity capital and debt capital raises. You will play an important role in idea generation and content creation while driving analytical workstreams across junior teams. 

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary day-to-day client point of contact with a focus on the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sub-sector
  • Review, coordinate and own the analytical work of junior bankers to move marketing/execution processes forward
  • Refine marketing/execution materials for maximum client impact
  • Lead IPO drafting sessions
  • Oversee the creation of M&A models
  • Coordinate internally across products and countries as part of a global team, and with external parties on transactions (e.g. lawyers, accountants, counterparties)
  • Lead diligence processes
  • Identify and manage all risks related to each deal

Skills:

  • Prior VP/Director level experience in Healthcare Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions and/or Corporate Development.  Prior experience in the Life Science Tools & Diagnostics sector preferred but not required
  • Very strong quantitative and analytical skills (including Excel modelling and valuation work)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with specific ability to communicate concepts and ideas concisely and defend their validity
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage teams to tight deadlines with the aptitude to synthesize large amounts of information
  • Adaptability, ability to manage projects independently and readiness to assume a high level of responsibility as a key member of a team
  • Ability to comfortably interact with clients in a professional and mature manner
  • Excellent understanding of financial, legal, and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment

New York pay range:

$275,000 - $350,000 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
