Job Description:

Bank of America Leasing Ireland (“BALI”), a subsidiary of Bank of America is seeking a sales support associate for its international aircraft leasing business. BALI’s existing aircraft portfolio includes operating lease and secured debt transactions for commercial aircraft operated by top tier carriers. Reporting to BALI’s Leasing Sales Support Manager the successful applicant will be a key team member in delivering leasing products in the aircraft sector. We are lookinf for a seasoned accountant with a can-do attitude.

Responsibilities:      

  • Sales Support liaison between the aircraft leasing business and BofA Finance
  • Supporting the BALI team with the financial aspects of leases booked in BALI and loan transactions booked in the Bank of America branch network.
  • Handle reporting and procurement compliance for third-party contractual engagements on behalf of the BALI Aircraft Technical team.
  • Provide Line of Business support for GAAP and Board reporting  for BALI  in conjunction with BofA Finance.
  • Tracking project expenditure versus pre-approved limits.
  • Monitoring US GAAP posting and accounting activity performed by US and UK based finance colleagues
  • Line of Business contact/oversight for US GAAP reconciliation teams providing insight on general ledger  transactional activity.
  • Liaison with internal Accounting Policy Group on required local disclosures.
  • Taxation Line of Business liaison for tax matters supporting BofA Tax to prepare and file income tax and sales tax returns.
  • Cash management lead ensuring aircraft rentals and other cashflows are collected as scheduled.
  • Prepare and file regular Irish Central Statistics Office returns.
  • Project team member for BALI EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive deliverables commencing 2025 financial year.
  • Support of business and operational functions including accounts payable.
  • Leasepoint aircraft asset management system: support the team’s efforts with data input and validation. 

What we are looking for:

  • Highly numerate qualified accountant.
  • Highly proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Desire to learn and develop within a small, capable  team of industry experts.
  • Professional demeanour with very good interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a “take charge” approach to problem solving
  • Relevant degree and professional membership
