Job Description:


This job is responsible for leading cross functional teams to manage infrastructure delivery, including initiatives within Application Production Services and Engineering. Key responsibilities include serving as a point of contact for application teams and working with Technology stakeholders, Service Providers, and the business to deliver the Infrastructure Portfolio. Job expectations may include oversight and management of programs, coordinating activities across functional teams, remediating or escalating issues, and ensuring funding levels are maintained for key technology strategies.

Overview:

The Demand Management team provides management and oversight of the demand portfolio for the Global Network Services Release and Deployment team, that includes engagement governance and oversight throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Facilitates time entry/tracking, chargeback routines, as well as mechanisms for internal and multiple 3rd party partners. Ensures time expense from all project resources have been captured, and that corresponding data is delivered to finance at the designated intervals. Maintains stakeholder engagement, portfolio oversight, reporting routines and processes. Continuously evolves engagement and resource data to produce reporting insights and products that provide leadership and delivery stakeholders with timely views of key portfolio health, status, resource, and budget aspects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees infrastructure delivery (scope, milestones, and capability) of the book of work and executes and monitors the progress of initiatives/projects to address roadblocks and issues proactively, including infrastructure impacted book of work and Technology Infrastructure (TI) strategic efforts
  • Acts as a single point of contact for all technology stakeholder needs including network, storage, server, and TI supporting software and serves as a point of escalation for issues and defining plans to resolve and communicate those problems requiring further attention
  • Reports on key metrics, prioritizes the work across the portfolio, and monitors the overall health of the portfolio
  • Manages trusted relationships with the business and technology leaders and prepares a detailed portfolio level plan to agree on deliverables, including service levels and milestones
  • Manages yearly and monthly initiative funding budget and allocations, providing financial transparency for Technology Cost of Application (TCOA) chargebacks, capital forecasting, initiative finances, and stale application volumes
  • Communicates Core Technology Infrastructure (CTI) strategies, services, and products to technology stakeholders, advocates for top priorities within CTI, and influences change effectively through strong partnerships
  • Leads fellowship Communities of Practice (CPO) in the organization and across other delivery teams
  • Participate in the development of the time entry, tracking, and chargeback mechanism that meets Engagement delivery, finance, and economics requirements
  • Sustain a Resource Time Tracking/Chargeback and Reporting practice
  • Devise routines to capture and manage resource time tracking and chargeback functions.
  • Devise administrative and end-user routines for time entry, tracking, and chargeback
  • Devise and maintain a comprehensive reporting set from MicroStrategy Business Intelligence and Analytics data
  • Maintain the roadmap and backlog to continuously add function/capability to optimize sustainable time entry, tracking, and chargeback mechanisms
  • Facilitate the continuous deployment of functions, updates, and improvements
  • Oversight and assessment of Time entry, tracking, and chargeback function, providing guidance and feedback to users and stakeholders
  • Devise and Produce Area Status Reporting
  • Devise and Produce Metrics, Reporting for area outputs and performance

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience required in a Technology Services role involved in the delivery of technology services (network services preferred)
  • Subject Matter Expertise Financial Constructs & Methods for Resource Cost Capture, Management, and Allocation (Charge-back)
  • Time Estimation and Quotation Methodologies
  • Applied knowledge of methods and practices for data capture/content solutions
  • Thorough understanding of industry tools, practices, and methods for management of budget and project expenses in a technical service business
  • Experience in resource time entry, budget consumption in support of network project/programs
  • Strong understanding of principles and methods for resource cost management, allocation
  • Familiarity with Change Management, Controls and Regulations in the Financial Services Industry
  • Background in IT Service Delivery
  • Ability to be flexible; prioritize workload, proactively react to issues, and consistently react to shifting deadlines

Desired Skills:

  • Degree in business management, finance, applied/computer science, or comparable, applied experience and success in a former role(s)
  • Aligned technical training/certifications are preferred (Microsoft SharePoint, Splunk, Tableau, Agile)
  • Be a self-starter, self-directed and show initiative
