The Team:
You will be joining a global team, with team members across all regions. This team forms a significant component of the Global Markets Risk function, and the broader Global Risk Management department, which offers a wide range of opportunities for career development across different asset classes and locations. Market Risk is structured to align towards business and legal entity set-up, across 9 global Lines of Business, and various entities. The team is highly diverse, with a broad range of skills, perspectives and experiences that engenders a supportive environment; one which encourages the open risk discussions.
Role Description:
Given the levels of regulatory focus, model performance will be a key item for this role, and consequently you should be quantitative and have the ability to work in a participatory manner. You will primarily interface with the Product Trading/Marketing Heads and the product heads of other risk and support groups (Compliance, Finance, Operations, Audit), as well as local regulators (i.e. the Prudential Regulation Authority) to ensure appropriate governance and are in place to per local laws, rules, and regulations.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for providing risk oversight, acting as a subject matter specialist and the second line of defence overseeing legal entity governance for MLI. You will be the senior contact for senior level committees, regulatory exams, and audit reviews, responsible for effective communication into governance, senior stakeholders and local regulators.
