Job Description

The newly created Sustainability Regulatory Operations Group is responsible for supporting the delivery of compliance with Sustainability regulations globally.  The team will be based across APAC, and the US, following a global model to support BofA in timely delivery of compliance with global sustainability regulations.

 

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join a new and evolving space.  The team will perform a critical function responsible for managing the intake, assessment, and delivery of sustainability regulations globally, ensuring consistency across regions and with Enterprise strategy.

 

Working with stakeholders across BofA’s 8 LOB’s and control functions, you will have exposure to senior stakeholders in region and across the wider organisation. 

 

The Sustainability Regulatory Operations Lead for APAC will perform a crucial role in helping to build out and lead the APAC team, whilst overseeing delivery of new and existing regulatory requirements in region.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for APAC Sustainability Regulatory Operations team and senior stakeholders in region

  • Responsible for providing programme and project management in support of APAC region and legal entities for delivery of compliance with sustainability regulations

  • Ensure governance framework is adhered to at all times, assessing any changes required in line with the evolving regulatory landscape and OpEx opportunities

  • Coordinates across the Enterprise, regions, and legal entities to provide consistency in solution strategy, delivery, and reporting

  • Serves as primary contact for regional senior leaders on critical sustainability regulatory change initiatives

  • Serve as an escalation point for the team and regional stakeholders on emerging risks & issues

  • Responsible for APAC progress reporting for various stakeholders, including regulatory agencies

Required Skills

Your background

  • Senior programme manager with experience in leading complex, global regulatory change, preferably in Sustainability related LLRG’s
  • Experienced in leading and managing programme teams
  • Able to navigate a highly matrixed organization effectively whilst building strong credibility and relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Ability to work closely with senior stakeholders across multiple LOB’s and support functions, demonstrating sufficient knowledge to understand potential impacts across LOB’s
  • Experienced in confidently presenting to senior executive committees, including Legal Entity Boards and LMT’s
  • Can excel and drive transformation in a highly visible, heavily regulated environment
  • Operational Excellence mindset; will constantly strive to improve and optimize governance and processes
  • Experience working with internal and external audit and managing engagement with APAC regulators
  • Familiar with Bank of America regional and legal entity organizational and committee structures in APAC
  • Able to identify and mitigate/escalate risks and issues appropriately using sound knowledge of subject matter
  • Able to work effectively as part of a global team, identifying and applying best practices to standardize and optimize processes across global team
  • Experienced in managing remote resource and stakeholders
  • Resilient and able to adapt quickly to change
  • Knowledge and adherence of Enterprise Change Management policy, standards, tools, and system of record
  • Typically, 10+ years of programme management experience
