The Team:

We are looking for an Information Security Exposure Management Specialist to join our team here in Dublin. The Real-Time Security Event Correlation team within Bank of America’s Cyber Security Operations organization provides automated monitoring and notification of security events. Role Description:

In your role as Information security threat management specialist you will assist in developing and maintaining use cases through the enrichment and correlation of security events in a Security Information and Event Management platform. You will be  required to Analyze, improve, implement, and execute security controls proactively to prevent external threat actors from infiltrating company information or systems. You will have the capability to research more advanced and complex attempts/efforts to compromise security protocols. It will be your responsibility to maintain or review security systems, asses security policies that control access to systems, and provides regular status updates to the management team.

Responsibilities:

  • You will work within the Security Information and Event Management platform to develop new use case detections and support existing production use cases.
  • This will involve working directly with security teams across the Bank’s Global Information Security department.
  • Working with the Bank application teams to elicit requirements and to interface with the technology team which administers Splunk.
  • You will be joining the team at an exciting time as we are migrating to Splunk from another SIEM application and look to start our next phase of Security Information and Event Management modernization.

What we are looking for:

  • Knowledge of the Splunk Platform and its Search Processing Language
  • Experience in log parsing, lookups, field transforms/extractions using regular expressions
  • Experience writing and tuning detections
  • Creative problem-solving and the ability to tackle unique, complex projects
  • Demonstrated commitment to training, self-study and maintaining proficiency in the technical cyber security domain
  • Ability to navigate and work effectively across a complex, geographically dispersed organization
  • Experience working with Audit

Skills that will help:

  • A broad knowledge of information security principles
  • Experience with other SIEM solutions
  • Experience with CI/CD technologies
