RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement enhancements, report, and analyze packages for senior management and committees.

  • Implement improved reporting and data mining tools.

  • Create regulatory and economic risk capital reports and data inputs respectively.

  • Produce regularly scheduled reports and respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests.

  • Analyze various market risk measures to ensure they are understood.

  • Develop solutions to complex data problems utilizing multi-step logical waterfalls in python and Excel.

  • Implement and automate new solutions to cater consistent, efficient and up-to-date processes being used in risk reporting by developing macros, scripts, and queries.

  • Perform ongoing reporting, control adherence, and monitor the Firm’s processes.

  • Report on key portfolio metrics as well as the ongoing enhancements to our technology platforms.

  • Provide Ad‐Hoc reports to regulators, stakeholders, and executive leadership.

  • Develop graphical representations of large data sets of quantitative information.

  • Review and challenge monthly and quarterly reports, Value at Risk (VaR) models, and financial products.

  • Analyze market risk measures and report practices in Microsoft Excel to proactively identify appropriateness.

  • Automate market risk processes for internal management and regulatory reporting involving large data sets through creating scripts in VBA and Python.

  • Create data processing routines in Excel to programmatically apply business logic to large data platforms.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Master's degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics or related; and

  • 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative occupation.

  • Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:

  • Developing graphical representations of large data sets of quantitative information;

  • Reviewing and challenging monthly and quarterly reports, Value at Risk (VaR) models, and financial products;

  • Analyzing market risk measures and reporting practices in Microsoft Excel to proactively identify appropriateness;

  • Automating market risk processes for internal management and regulatory reporting involving large data sets through creating scripts in VBA and Python; and,

  • Creating data processing routines in Excel to programmatically apply business logic to large data platforms.

Jersey City pay and benefits information

Jersey City pay range:

$132,500 - $155,900 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
