    Our office in Camberley, Surrey is conveniently situated to the south west of central London, perfectly placed for people commuting on the M3, M25 and M4, making it easy to get from Hampshire, Berkshire, London and beyond. We also run a morning and afternoon shuttle car service to the office, from both Farnborough Main and Camberley train stations.

    Role Description:

    The Network Security Engineer is a key member of the technology team and is responsible for ensuring network security through firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention technologies. The specialist is expected to have an in-depth understanding of networking protocols and technologies, as well as have an excellent troubleshooting methodology. This role requires you to have good communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders, an ability to work independently and in a team setting. You should  also be a subject matter expert in your field and stay up to date with industry trends to drive end-to-end value.

    Responsibilities: As a Network Security Engineer, you will provide technical support for our firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

    • You will lead efforts to diagnose and resolve network infrastructure incidents, managing bridge line troubleshooting, and communicating effectively with internal stakeholders during the process.
    • Additionally, you will be responsible for evaluating service impact, interpreting monitors, dashboards, and logs, and identifying potential production failure scenarios and vulnerabilities.
    • In this role, you'll be working directly with our senior team members, so good communication skills and a desire to learn and grow professionally are essential.

    What we are looking for:

    • You can help our team keep our network safe and running smoothly
    • You will have knowledge in network technology, including Fortinet/Checkpoint Firewalls; F5/AVI load balancers and McAfee proxy infrastructure.
    • Experience in Network Operations,
    • Be our go-to person for troubleshooting firewall and intrusion detection/prevention systems
    • Work with our team and customers to diagnose and solve network infrastructure incidents
    • Be the person everyone can count on to communicate technical details during emergencies
    • Analyze data, identify and mitigate risks, and make smart suggestions for improvement
    • Document everything in a clear, easy-to-understand way
    • Be collaborative  while still sticking to our production policies
    • Be the technical expert who can take a complex problem and break it down into simple steps for anyone to follow

    Skills that will help:

    • Industry certifications in network technologies
    • Familiarity with Cloud and SDN technologies
    • Experience working in an Agile environment
