Job Description:
This role is responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the research and execution of complex transactions for multiple sites or larger business unit(s). Key responsibilities of the role include leading the design, development and implementation of products, systems, processes and services using discretion within the project management methodologies, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
• Leads the design, development and implementation of complex products, systems and services in an operations environment using subject matter expertise.
• Manages projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives
• Advises as technical expert in assigned area by providing work direction, guidance and expertise to less experienced associates and training to associates and Business Partners on new complex initiatives
• Builds strong relationships with business partners across various lines of business
• Manages and defines responsibilities and accountabilities for key program/projects
Required Skills:
• Deep working knowledge of commercial lending, experience with complex credit agreements and structures, including syndications

LOB Specific Job Description:
The Syndicated and Corporate Lending Senior Operations Consultant provides consulting expertise and change execution for process, procedural and technology enhancements. Utilizing strong project and change management skills to meet aggressive deadlines. Work independently or in conjunction with other specialists as the work requires. Participate fully in team planning and work with colleagues to continuously improve the team’s performance. Provides work direction, guidance and expertise to less experienced associates and provides training to teammates on new and complex initiatives. Builds strong relationships with Business Partners across LOBs. Has in-depth understanding of the business unit's operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function and other divisions within the company. Knowledge acquired through increasingly responsible operations analysis work. Clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred. Individual typically has 5-7 years of experience.
Additional Responsibilities:
Responsible for consultative activities for Syndicated and Corporate Lending fulfillment activities including:
Manage and document procedures including revision of existing documentation to ensure clarity and thoroughness
Root cause analysis of complex operating scenarios
Lead working sessions across end-to-end process to drive solutions
Participate as subject matter expert in technology initiatives including as a subject matter expert, driving the strategic vision to automate and de-risk the syndication booking process
Develops and delivers training on complex procedural changes
Acts as a subject matter expert, frequently consulted on the execution of complex loan transactions.
Participates in process and technology initiatives, both as a project lead and subject matter expert. Utilizes knowledge and expertise to drive seamless implementation of new technology or processes.
Additional Requirements:
Finance, accounting or mathematics background or applicable experience
Additional Qualifications:
Knowledge of GCB (Global Corporate Bank)/GCIB (Global Corporate Investment Bank) environment, organizational alignment, strategic priorities
Attorney prepared/Syndicated loan legal document experience including complex legal contract review and analysis
Strives to challenge the status quo and bring new ideas to teams to drive innovation and unique solutions to better serve an evolving client base
Strong written communication skills including communications and procedures
