Global Markets Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting Project Lead

The NFRR Project Lead is responsible to support overall Markets Operations NFRR ownership of the full reports compendium, ensuring adherence to NFRR Governance Framework in preparation, timeliness, accuracy and sustainability.  This role is required to drive an error free environment within GMO with immediate focus on all error prone and high risk reports.  He/she is expected to lead strong cadence in identifying horizontal thematic issues, establish and execute a sustainable way forward plan in line with the NFRR Framework. The leader in this role will have strong alignment to the functional Process Owners and Report Preparers and there is potential to manage regulatory reporting processes in the future. There will be frequent engagement with GMO senior leaders in driving positive change across the NFRR reporting program.

Responsibilities:

This role will have to drive the prioritization and ensure effectiveness of all remediation/centralization work. The leader will be required to partner closely with Risk & Control Leads for self-identified issues and maintain a robust Quality Assurance (QA) program for the NFRR reporting suite. 
This role will lead, provide guidance, and partner closely with Report Preparers and NFRR Central Team to ensure all requirements and timelines are met for NFRR Acceleration Program body of work. He/she is expected to collaborate with GMO leaders and provide oversight on operational stability as required. Responsibilities as Project Lead include providing initial oversight to AMRS NFRR as required, work with various functions and functional leads to ensure process adequacy and sustainability, instill proactive risk management mindset and implement best practices where feasible.  He/she needs to be agile in thought leadership, able to leverage experience and new innovation to help AMRS NFRR to achieve operational excellence and process consistency.

Additional Responsibilities:

Business:

  • Drive AMRS GMO NFRR strategic direction in close alignment with enterprise NFRR Framework, within the geography covered, with strong local and regional connectivity

  • Immediate focus to be accountable and take governance ownership of the inventory of the NFRR in AMRS

  • Accountable to RDM SLT for on-going reporting of the health of NFRR and demonstrate strong thought leadership to drive this book of work effectively, collaborating closely with GMO AMRS leads and various partners.

  • Lead strong cadence to identify horizontal thematic issues, establish and execute a sustainable way forward plan in line with the NFRR Framework

  • Manage and mitigate risks across operational processes. This includes review and identification of risk and the project management necessary to close any gaps in control measures

  • Leads with a global perspective and articulates enterprise vision

  • Establishes a continuous process improvement environment within the team and drives operational excellence

  • Executes and integrates new capabilities, as driven by regional and global objectives

  • Leverage data and audit methodology to identify gaps with broader lens and depth


Leadership:

  • Responsible for the oversight and execution of AMRS GMO NFRR body of work.

  • Proven strong stakeholder management and influencing skill to drive desired results.

  • Provides broader leadership in the region by driving integration into the wider GO organization

  • Build strong/influential relationships with key leaders across AMRS, enterprise and industry


Risk/Compliance/Data/Audit:

  • Provide regulatory and audit exam management in partnership with Compliance for internal and external reviews

  • Build a culture and process to identify, mitigate, and control operational risk

  • Manage the operational risk with stable operations and full compliance to local and global regulations

  • Satisfactory audits, reviews, exams (internal and regulator driven)


Requires Experiences/Skills:

  • Must have prior experiences working in financial services industry. Global Markets experiences is highly desired

  • Must have Risk, Compliance, Audit engagement experience; previous experiences working in Risk, Compliance or Audit a plus.

  • Previous project management experiences. Leading medium to large scale projects from end to end.

  • Strong communications and relationship management skills. Proven experiences in building professional relationships across various business partners/leaders as well as the ability to influence and act independently

  • Proven ability to drive change in a matrixed environment

  • Ability to analyze and comprehend complex processes/workflows

  • Demonstrated ability to understand various internal and external rules, laws and regulations

  • Ability to work in a very deadline driven environment

  • Ability to thrive in a consistently changing environment
